Purdue v. Iowa Game Thread

Painter doesn't coach shooting in practice, or otherwise -- I've asked him this on his call-in radio show. Keady was the same way. Players are responsible for working on their shot, on their own, and if they're in a slump, it's up to them to work through it on their own time. Not that Painter coaching shooting would help -- he was a terrible streak shooter himself.

After 6 months under Painter, Cline -- who some called the best shooter in Indiana HS basketball since Mount -- looks like he never shot a ball in his life before.
Did Painter offer his rationale when answering your question?

I am tied of reading that we "lost" that game. Some of you got it right - Iowa "won" that game. They match up to us very well and they then they shoot 11/22 3-pts in this game. We played good defense, but they can shoot over it. Better team won today. Maybe we get a third chance in the F4.

I would tend to agree, but with the caveat that many misses had very little to do with great defense. Nonetheless Iowa was better and deserved to win.

Exactly, PU has won two halves.....and Iowa has won two halves. Need to meet them again!

What a bunch of whiny bitches PUke fans are. Your team gets outplayed in every aspect basketball by a much better team, all you do is complain that the refs are out to get you.

Typical loser behavior from a second rate program.....lol

Iowa had to have 2 great halves to beat PU this year.......hell, PU leading scorer from the last game didn't even play. PU shot itself in the foot and didn't react well to the cough, cough, physicality of the game. You are a good club though.

"Second rate program"? How many big ten titles do you think they've won in the 37 years since your last title?

Can't refute anything that was said, so your desperate measure is to hit 'em where it hurts: their message board user name! Strong play, stud.
Man the workers get cranky when you hurt their feelings. I envision this started when they made you begin serving breakfast all day in the drive through.

You come on here and call people 'whiny bitches PUke fans" and "numb nuts" and then you have a butt hurt when someone sticks and stones your funny sig name back at you? Who is the whiny one? I guess I could have called you penis breath instead. I think that fits better anyway. And I know your reply, "Would you like to super size that for a dollar more?" Page 7 in the greetings training manual, it's online. And remember, "It you lean, you clean." Have a nice day.

Hey pitpuppy. Wanting to punch a college athlete in the face is very tasteless. Get your emotions under control and try to be somewhat mature and classy. You may hate Woodbury but maybe if Hammons, Haas or even your god-savior Swanigan played with the heart and emotion that Woodbury plays with, the Boilers could have a couple more wins under their belts. You continually mention that Purdue is the better team but what looks good from a personnel standpoint doesnt always translate to wins! Purdue looks good on paper and they still can go a long ways to the end of the season and post-season.

Actually poking other players in the eyes on purpose is more serious and tasteless than a fan saying they would like to do something to the poker chip snake. Maybe you defend that classless act. That could seriously hurt a player's career or life. Words, on the other hand, may hurt his feelings, duh. Get over your diaper rash woodie.
