That’s why we will lose on the tournament. Whenever that is idkThis sounds familiar. And to think that a four 3 weeks ago, people were saying they’d still rather have IT and Hunter over X Johnson. Give me a freaking break.
Look at their stats. Ivey was by far the more efficient player tonite. Not really. Compare forced shots and Ivey wins big.
Every good college basketball player is like that.
Sasha is our best defender. Stats prove it, previous announcers have pointed it out. No one else except Edey even comes close....Because CMP is a terrible in game coach. He made zero adjustments to make IU have to work to get into its offense. If his game plan doesn’t work Purdue is screwed, because he cannot adjust. If it wasn’t for angry Ivey that would have been ugly. CMP straight up got out coached by a sub par NBA coach whose best player spent almost the whole game on the bench. Please tell me again how it is just a matter of time until he gets a NCAA championship. He is who he is. The sample size is more than big enough.
Plus, absolutely brilliant coaching to put Sasha who is at best marginal on defense on the guy having the best game of his career at the end of the game. Sometimes I am convinced he has zero awareness.
he's not NBA ready, if he plays in that league better get used to being fouled, falling to the court doesn't always sell a call. Terrible last shot tooIvey might be the most talented yet most moronic basketball player I have ever seen.
I wanted a TO to set up a play. Going up 4 under 2 mins is huge. And should have had patience looking for Zach. Swinging for the fence instead of hitting doubles
It's definitely our weakness. It's also a weakness that can often bite a team in the tournament. I'm not feeling the 'magic' right now, but there is still a long way to go.It’s getting old talking about our guards turning it over too much and getting beat off the dribble wayyyyyyy too much. It’s like it’s an actual problem…
That last shot was so embarrassing...an no, hes not NBA ready, and those who rant and rave about him being ready/the next Ja Morant don't watch the NBA.he's not NBA ready, if he plays in that league better get used to being fouled, falling to the court doesn't always sell a call. Terrible last shot too
What happened when Ivey had his temper tantrum. IU won the game right there as momentum totally changed. Go back and look at the Boilers body language after that.Look at their stats. Ivey was by far the more efficient player tonite.
Or, he could, I don't know, coach him? Players play how they're either coached or allowed to play.Painter shouldn't allow Ivey to watch Sports Center or Ja Morant the rest of the season.
I’ve been saying it all year. Painter may have screwed his chance at a NC by not getting a PG in the portal. We have the other pieces. Ius guards tore us up.That’s why we will lose on the tournament. Whenever that is idk
That definitely swung things in the first. What happened when Ivey had his temper tantrum. IU won the game right there as momentum totally changed. Go back and look at the Boilers body language after that.
They were up 2 and had the ball with tre missing a 2 ft shot by 2 feetI wanted a TO to set up a play. Going up 4 under 2 mins is huge.
I wouldn’t trade anyone for the Johnson guy but Phinisee shouldn’t be able to get in the lane at will.I’ve been saying it all year. Painter may have screwed his chance at a NC by not getting a PG in the portal. We have the other pieces. Ius guards tore us up.
Every fan base says this about their best player. "If he would have done what I do on rookie mode of NBA2K he'd be way better."Huh?
The momentum changed on Tre’s first turnover when we were up 8.What happened when Ivey had his temper tantrum. IU won the game right there as momentum totally changed. Go back and look at the Boilers body language after that.
LOL. Then we came back and took the lead. 12-3 turnover margin and 7-17 from the line beat us.What happened when Ivey had his temper tantrum. IU won the game right there as momentum totally changed. Go back and look at the Boilers body language after that.
could not believe his last shot didn't touch the rim, in the first half, I rhought he was throwing the game it looked that bad.Total shitshow by Trevion tonight....
Boilers had to expend way too much energy catching up after IU went up big. Ivey is good, but Painter needs to put a leash on him. That definitely swung things in the first.
Is that the same possession where we knocked the rebound out of bounds too?for rebounding except Sasha can't guard a 3
Haha, that is a good one. Sasha routinely gets burned, cannot fight through screens and is slow closing out on three point shooters. That being said, we don’t have a good permitter defender this year so he may get the title by virtue of a lack of competition, but that is like being king of the jackasses. Someone has to have the title but not exactly an honor.Sasha is our best defender. Stats prove it, previous announcers have pointed it out. No one else except Edey even comes close....
I dont think you get what I am trying to say. Everyone has mistakes and bad games, etc...but Ivey makes things so much worse with his selfish bull in a china shop nonsense. Its literally dumb, careless basketball.Every fan base says this about their best player. "If he would have done what I do on rookie mode of NBA2K he'd be way better."
I used to say the same thing about Carsen. Then I realized guys like him are the only chance of me seeing Purdue in a final four in my lifetime. Lot more problems than whatever you think makes him a moron to fix if we're not seeing another tournament flop.
Yes, he is quickly becoming GDB 2.0.I dont think you get what I am trying to say. Everyone has mistakes and bad games, etc...but Ivey makes things so much worse with his selfish bull in a china shop nonsense. Its literally dumb, careless basketball.
I think he made some better decisions today with a few of his pull-ups.I dont think you get what I am trying to say. Everyone has mistakes and bad games, etc...but Ivey makes things so much worse with his selfish bull in a china shop nonsense. Its literally dumb, careless basketball.
He can't guard you. Stop. And Ivey was the only who could score, and he only missed two more shots than Sasha, who clearly forced the most bad shots by a Purdue player tonight.Sasha is our best defender. Stats prove it, previous announcers have pointed it out. No one else except Edey even comes close....
love this postGillis came to play tonight. Need to run more offense through him.
This. I was like why the f would you swat the ball out of bounds like that.Hunter did a nice job hitting the ball out of bounds after a Phinisee miss when we were up 2 w/ 18 secs left
100% accurate. It's 100% on his back. Had to assume from his praise that he was confident in Morton playing point because obviously we knew from past experience that Hunter was a decent backup at best. IT was a liability at all times. Who does that leave? I guess from lack of pursuit, I believed that CMP had belief in EM. Either he was totally wrong or we were totally wrong to trust him on that.I’ve been saying it all year. Painter may have screwed his chance at a NC by not getting a PG in the portal. We have the other pieces. Ius guards tore us up.
Physical D Is usually a struggle for tre, but his whole game was effected. So many things could be pointed towards this loss, but something as simple as Zach making half his fts would be enough since Purdue would have some cushion acould not believe his last shot didn't touch the rim, in the first half, I rhought he was throwing the game it looked that bad.
yes, I'm the one that pointed that out about HunterIs that the same possession where we knocked the rebound out of bounds too?
Wondering how this team looks with the hometown kid who torched us tonight.100% accurate. It's 100% on his back. Had to assume from his praise that he was confident in Morton playing point because obviously we knew from past experience that Hunter was a decent backup at best. IT was a liability at all times. Who does that leave? I guess from lack of pursuit, I believed that CMP had belief in EM. Either he was totally wrong or we were totally wrong to trust him on that.
Painter gonna Painter! He had the worst game of his life. Makes sense that we would stay with him and even go to him for the biggest shot of the game. Absolutely unbelievable!
