When will he be choosing his school?

I am excited for the recruits who have chose Purdue...Haarms and Wheeler.

Wheeler to me has an amazing ceiling and once he fills out will be a great 4 year player for Purdue and will be my next favorite next to Taylor

A class of Eastern, Wheeler, Haarms and Haase would be amazing.

If Eastern says no, Ewing is very exciting too.......

All of these guys would look great in Purdue Black and Gold.

Boiler Up!

I'm 99% sure we have conceded to Izzo on this one . I haven't seen anything that says he isn't going to MSU . But as Swanigan proved you never know .

he might be waiting to see what trent jr does. i dont think both woud go to state

Love it....finally people having fun on this board again.

Thanks for the memories!

What have you heard to make you believe that Painter has conceded?
Nothing really but he retweets everything MSU our shot was if we signed Tillman or Jackson both of whom committed to MSU . Haarms and Wheeler a 2 star and 3 while they are Quality players don't exactly scream National Championship . Also Scott Burgess a Chicagoland blogger who is well connected with Eastern says MSU along with every other major blogger but Burgess seals the deal for me . I do know he is visiting Ohio St. this weekend and was at Seton Hall last week . I have a ton of other tid bits that point away from us and toward MSU . I personally believe our efforts should be towards 2018 at this point .

Are you looking at the @NEBlessed_20 twitter account? Before Tillman chose MSU, it was obvious from his Twitter that that's where he was going. The same could be said for Battey and Colorado. I don't see any such indication with Eastern.

He already visited OSU and he seems to be indicating that he liked the trip.

Like everyone else, I've assumed that MSU is the front runner all along, but unless Eastern were to eliminate Purdue, I can't see Painter conceding this close to signing day.

I agree......the domino is Brian Bowen from La Lumiere....if he chooses MSU then OSU and Purdue are in play. If he doesn't then Eastern is a strong MSU lean.

That's my two cents.....

Bowen has been up to Slizzo-town multiple times and Eastern is a back up plan for MSU. I worry more about OSU because they need him and MSU doesn't.

...[/QUOTE]
I feel like if eastern wanted us he would have committed long ago.
Eh I think I was his way for schools. I wanted to visit the five I was shooting for and make up my mind after the visits. Sounds like he is the same. Plus on the Free gbi podcast Brian has continued to say Purdue is right in the thick of things.

I had a little time on my hands and looked on his account. If you go to his likes he likes more Purdue related things than others. Plus he recently followed Ryan Cline. Don't see where he followed other teams people recently. That wasn't the case with Tillman,Battey, etc where it was clear they didn't have us at top

Did he follow Cline just to see if he could pick up on some of the crap that just recently became public knowledge?

There is a reason he hasn't pulled the trigger on MSU already. Not saying he won't and not saying we would definitely be the choice if he doesn't go to MSU but he isn't sitting back with his mind made up right now just waiting.

You do realize that everyone misses on many of their top targets and all but the truly elite few (Duke, UK, ?) miss out on most of their top targets?
Right. Nobody is saying that there is a 100% chance that Eastern chooses Purdue.

I'm not making a prediction, but the one time in recent memory that Purdue beat out MSU, head to head, was Swanigan, a late spring commitment, so past history does not indicate that a late decision hurts Purdue.

Yes i do realize that. I said i dont believe hes coming and people started naming off random players that have committed for whatever reason so i listed off random players that didnt. But as mentioned above izzo has offered which is essentially the kiss of death for painter. I would like to be wrong but going by painters history i don't have much faith.

Harris, diop, robinson 3 etc say hi also. Wanna keep going d-bag?

Wow, I remember my first time name calling, that said, I sure do!....

Robbie Hummel, Jajuan Johnson, E'twaun Moore, The BIG DOG, arguably the best college basketball player EVER to play the game, the REAL Glen Robinson (see my profile picture with ALL those trophies..., yeah, that guy!), Cuonzo Martin, Brian Cardinal, Brad Miller, Carl Landry, Rick Mount (arguably the best shooter to ever play the game), and John Wooden, the best head coach of all time...

Wow, that was easy, and it took about 2 minutes...

Anybody else want to look like an idiot? Even though posting on the rival teams board pretty much does insinuates your obsession with our program and makes you look like an idiot all by itself... And then getting owned on 2 posts...

First off im a purdue fan d bag. Second, were talking about painter and his recruiting. Try and keep up you simpleton.

I love that you guys keep bringing up Swanigan as a good example, but what it really shows is that Painter is 1 for 3 (Harris and G-Rob III) when recruiting players whose parents or guardians were former athletes at Purdue. One for three with the children of ex-athletes, do you really see that as good recruiting success, because I sure don't.

First off, a whole lot of Purdue fans have hoosier in their name...Because that's just logical, right? Believing that is about as absurd as believing Hillary has never lied.

Second, after skimming through the thread, this topic had NOTHING to do with Painter and recruiting... If you're going to try to act smart, do the 30 seconds of assurance reading prior to making yourself look like an idiot for not once, but twice in the past hour or so.

Third, I give you credit for one thing... it takes a lot of balls for someone as ugly as you to degrade ANY human being by any means necessary...

I'm going to save you some embarrassment and not respond to your next idiotic post that is probably within the next 10 minutes.

It also means that someone like Gary Harris could be directed away from Purdue for reasons that have nothing to do with Coach Painter.

Not really. I'm not sure of how many more, but Kendal Stephens is just one I can think of. He may be the only one, but I'd be willing to bet there are numerous other players he's recruited with their parents being athletic alumni.

Now 5* recruits, sure...But face it, it's a different era now than it used to be. Kids don't stay in-state like they used to, regardless of how good are. They used to want to make their home state look good, so they'd go to Purdue or IU, dominate the league, and show everyone in the country how good Indiana is at producing basketball talent.

I think you are missing the point. JH stated that he thought if Eastern wanted to go to Purdue he would have committed long ago. The examples show that Painter has had to wait for commitments a long time in the past.

Nobody is saying that beating out Izzo for a player is easy. Izzo is going to win head to head battles most of the time.

I have come to the conclusion that you have to be two people. There is no way that amount of stupid can exist in just one person.

Others have already responded and drove your unfounded crap post in to dust so I don't need to bother. But seriously, go back to peegs or wherever your idol is hanging out these days.

Exactly. Some think that all Painter should have to do is walk up to a recruit and just utter the word "Purdue" and they commit. Nevermind the other colleges coming after him or what the recruit wants for himself. None of that matters because it goes against their self-entitled needs and all recruits should come to Purdue with no exceptions.
