Yeah why aren't you disappointed, are you even a real fan? Or are you Matt Painter's wife?

This game shouldn't have even been close we had the hot hand at the end and let painters poor coaching let the wind out of our sails. Its the same shit with every loss under painter in March.
Honestly fans that expect anything less than greatness should root for a MAC team. We won the B1G we should expect to win. So let me get this straight a player a coach recruited just plays the game...correct? But the Coach who recruits that same player, plays the players he wants in the game, adjusts during the game, call the plays and handles every part but shoot the ball...it'a never has fault??
LOL at you idiot Painter Haters. They already won the Big 10. These tournaments are about money and for teams trying to get into the NCAA like IU this year. Kansas and Butler lost. Purdue lost in OT and it was an entertaining game. Michigan is a tough matchup.
BTW these boards are hilarious. Sometime's they are informative about recruiting etc.. But they are like CNBC and the stock market. When the market is up it's Happy Days. When the market is down the world is coming to an end.
To come on here and bash Painter after Purdue won the Big 10 outright against a team that is a matchup nightmare in OT in a tournament that means nothing related to the NCAA tournament? You are an emotional IDIOT. Jeez louise...

I love how you emotional fans come out of the woodwork only when we lose. Purdue has won many games this season when it was on the line and thus that is why we are Big Ten champs. Because we won when it mattered. What the **** are you going on about. This is about tourney prep. getting used to playing 2 games in rapid succession. Michigan showed us they are ready to show up in a tourney. Purdue showed us they are ready to be the Purdue we have seen in the tourney the last 2 seasons. Just drop a huge shit on the middle of the court when the game is on the line.
I don't need therapy. I just don't give a crap what people think. I am a old man in a young man's body.Because I'm not a Millennial and handle my emotions like an adult.

I am only coming back at Three because he came at me. Donald Trump taught me that.Ahhculdee you are a freaking dumbazz. Just hilarious you come on here whining because Purdue lost a tough game in overtime in a tournament that's more about making money then anything.
I got news for you people. This team's ceiling is sweet 16. That's not Painter's fault or the players. It is about how talented they are... Michigan broke them down late in regulation and Purdue missed some free throws. It happens. Now they can get rested for the tournament.

Don't you know accepting another early exit is what makes you mature.

One little slip up doesn't change that, no matter how much your emotions tell you it does.
I asked you were a real fan? I just controversial things and it gets you going. It's pretty funny quite frankly. You came back at me? Where? Missed it.
Actually yes. Accepting things over which you have no control instead of whining and throwing a tantrum is certainly a sign of maturity.
NO ONE will care about this loss if Purdue makes the sweet 16. PERIOD. They got a trophy this season. These tournaments are about the leagues making money and teams like IU trying to get into the NCAA. You wanna blame somebody?
Go blame Gene Keady who I lose less respect for every year going forward. Especially after Keady endorsed Trump. Keady had alot better teams then Painter. He let distractions effecct those teams. Where they played, their seedings, officiating distract his teams. Who let Glenn Robinson the night before his biggest opportunity ever get in a wrestling match with a teammate and hurt his back. Nice job GENE doing roomcheck the night before your biggest game ever.
This Purdue team is not going to make the final 4 no matter how well Painter coaches.

Literally all I said was Bum Painter. Sweet mother, you get worked up over something insignificant. I never even said "Fire Painter!" I hate losing. I am a sore loser, a boastful winner, and I know it. Sorry if I can't state my opinions.Nice try. You came here crying and not knowing the facts. You were put in your place and now you're trying to play it off like you didn't come here blabbering because a Purdue loss hurt your ego.

Painter is an okay coach, but he has bad days. So today was one of his bum days.Without having watched the game, according to you, you were disparaging the coach.

I just assumed. How would you know if you didn't watch the game?
No, we are more prone to bad matchups than some others because we have highly skilled, but unathletic guards. Other schools may be more limited by poor coaching or other factors. So our ability to make a deep run will be limited by matchups? Just like every single other team in the country.

I don't know that it is sweet 16, but your comment "It is about how talented they are..." is very legit. Why can be debated. I keep saying to myself this is a forum and people are reaching on many levels with little to no support offered for their reasons...which may or may not have substance. I thought about writing a history on the players at Purdue, but nto sure that would make a difference in anyone's mind to review where they were...where they are...which players were recruited highly...which were not and a whole host of things...and my apologies in advance to dryfly88 as I'm trying not to throw this out there...but there does appear to be a different outlook from those that have spent some time in the arena. Michigan had better talent in todays game...maybe not in teh 90s or even before the rule changes of shot clock, 3pt line AND making it more of an offensive game by protecting the perimeter drivers.Ahhculdee you are a freaking dumbazz. You might think the game was decided "on the court", but no, you say that is for pussies? Who the hell thinks that? The game IS decided on the court. Basically, you are delusional. Thanks for the laugh.Blaiming on the court play is for pussies. Painter had the game right where he wanted it. We were balling then he decided cline needed more minutes to do jack shit with.

Now Purdue can still make a nice run...but Michigan offensive strengths are Purdue's weaknesses defensively...and the game has turned into a more offensive game.
Game over...winners tell the jokes and losers say deal the f'ing cards!

I have no dog in this fight, but to be honest you have not been handling anything here like an adult. You're whining about other people and acting childish. "Run along to your therapy dog"?? What kind of "adult" makes a statement like that?Yeah why aren't you disappointed, are you even a real fan? Or are you Matt Painter's wife?

If this team's ceiling is the sweet 16, how is that not either the players' or the coach's fault? I'm not super upset about this loss (probably because I couldn't watch because of work) but the people that are satisfied with a sweet 16 every 10 years is what are a detriment to this fan base.Because I'm not a Millennial and handle my emotions like an adult.

This loss is on the players. End of story.
What college has never lost a game it "shouldn't"?How about losing games you shouldn't. Happens every tourney we are in. It happens the same way Evey march. Its a game we should've won!! And we lost!!

Don't take anything personal as none was meant towards you, BUT read many of the comments ..it is obvious and there are some that have been involved and they see it and have NOT written today. That doesn't mean that all others that wrote don't know anything, but you need to not take things personal and just see it for what it is because there are a LOT of really stupid things. I always try to support my comments...just not throw out my frustration. Sometimes it seems the forum is like the man in the balloon"In the arena" that made me laugh.
I will agree there is plenty of hot air to go around on here tonight.Don't take anything personal as none was meant towards you, BUT read many of the comments ..it is obvious and there are some that have been involved and they see it and have NOT written today. A Man in a Balloon
A man in a hot air balloon realized he was lost. He reduced altitude and spotted a man below. He descended a bit more and shouted,
"Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."
The man below replied, "You are in a hot air balloon hovering approximately 30 feet above the ground. You are between 40 and 41 degrees north latitude and between 59 and 60 degrees west longitude."
"You must be an engineer," said the balloonist.
"I am," replied the man, "How did you know?"
"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is technically correct, but I have no idea what to make of your information, and the fact is I am still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help so far."
The man below responded, "You must be a manager."
"I am," replied the balloonist, "but how did you know."
"Well," said the man, "you don't know where you are or where you are going. You have risen to where you are due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise that you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem. The fact is, you are in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but now, somehow, it's my fault."
..and not even all teh coaches in the BTT have all teh answersI will agree there is plenty of hot air to go around on here tonight.
I just liked the phrase "in the arena". Made coaching sound a little more sophisticated. No offense taken by me. I've read enough just tonight to know not even the "coaches" on here have all the answers.
Michigan took DM away in both games (7 points in two games) I think he was the focus for there defense outside of Swanigan. They did not give DM any passing lanes and did not let him get the ball back after he got rid of it. Great coaching by UM realizing DM is the straw that stirs the drink and he took the straw out of the class today.
