Purdue v. Rutgers Game Thread

Hopefully this is how Vince will play for the remainder of his career.
I would love to see Ray follow his lead.
We need those two to be 10-20 points per game guys.

Received an email from Purdue for the Ohio State game this week.....highlighter yellow/green t-shirts. No thanks. Please tell me we don't have those gross neon uniforms like the football team. This will look great on national TV.

Can you not support cancer awareness with a normal color? Sigh.

Oh I agree about turnovers, was just curious how VE correlates in to that as well.

I think there's no doubt his involvement makes Purdue much more potent offensively. Tonight, let's be honest, he's got a tremendous match-up in his favor - but if it gets him involved and confident, all for it. He had pretty good games against Pitt, Wisconsin and Michigan. Not a good game vs. Vandy.

This team seems to go as Edwards goes. Anybody have his stats offhand in our losses out of curiousity?

Butler: 9, 3, and 2 with 1 TO (2-9 FG, 4-5 FT) 22 mins...2 fouls

TMHR: 7, 5, and 3 with 1 TO (2-3 FG, 1-1 FT) 20 mins....3 fouls

Illinois: 8, 4, and 1 with 1 TO (3-8 FG; 2-2 FT) 16 mins....4 fouls

Only complaint tonight so far is they've let the Rutgers guards penetrate and get easy baskets for their teams a few times. Not good help defense.

Shot selection has been pretty good (although I swear Swanigan shoots a 3 to start every game which can end any time).

Every game is correct.............smh

Swanigan with blue shoes on..,. Don't think I've ever seen a Purdue player wear blue shoes in a game.

That's commonly referred to as the "Chally Syndrome."

And the usual 3 pt shooting woes....

PGiT beat me to the Vince stats in losses. They aren't far off his season avg. Individual player trends I've seen in the losses:

-Biggie averages 4 ppg more in the losses, but offsets that with 1.7 to/g more.
-Isaac scored 4, 6, and 6 pts compared to a season avg of 11.0 ppg.
-Davis in the 3 losses is averaging 2 pts, 2 reb, 1 ast, 2 to vs season avgs of 9 pts, 3.4 reb, 2.1 ast, 1.6 to

Every game is correct.............smh
Its like clockwork.. Almost to the point where I'm wondering if it's a strategy. Get him an early heat check and put the outside shot in the opposing 4's mind to pull him away from the basket? Is that a stretch??

How many shots by Caleb inside the paint? Maybe he's learning..........bread and butter. and that's where the rebounds are too
