$4 million/yr. Be aware that we are now in the first year of our new TV contract and we can easily pay double that. The same goes for all the Big Ten & SEC schools. We'll be getting $75-100 million in TV and playoff money while Liberty gets zip.
Here's another example - Matt Campbell HC Iowa State, currently 7-0 and ranked #10. Schools in the Big-12 and ACC make about a third the TV money that the Big Ten and SEC are currently making. Now, ISU is a Purdue clone. Not much football tradition, Land Grant, big Ag, Engineering & vet school, sitting out in the middle of cornfields. Campbell recently got a RAISE to $4 million. We could easily double or triple that salary with the new TV contract.
- After completing a 9-3 season in 2020, Campbell and Iowa State agreed on a new contract extension that would keep him with the school through the 2028 season. Under the terms of that contract, according to USA Today, Campbell earns an annual base salary of $4 million — including for the 2024 college football campaign.
