Pretty good chance for Georgia? They are in the sec championship. They are all but guaranteed to get in. I’d be shocked if Alabama didn’t get in either.
I put Alabama 13 in my ranking. Just couldn't see anyone else ahead of them. I can't imagine they get in with 3 losses without a SEC CG appearance, but if there's more chaos, who knows? Right now I have 2 ACC teams in - and the committee will too - but will that stick? Will Indinia stay in? I have them 10th, which ends up 11th-seeded. Playing Penn State, which could be fun. Here's what I came up with, down to 24:
1. Oregon
2. Ohio St
3. Texas
4. Penn St
5. ND
6. Miami
7. Georgia
8. Tennessee
9. SMU
10. IU
11. Boise St
12. Clemson
13. Alabama
14. South Carolina
15. Ole Miss
16. Arizona St (IN)
17. Texas A&M
18. Tulane
19. BYU
20. Iowa St
21. Missouri
22. Colorado
23. Illinois
24. UNLV

Seeds/Matchups:
12 Arizona St at 5 Ohio St winner vs 4 Boise St
11 Indinia at 6 Penn St winner vs 3 Miami
10 SMU at 7 Notre Dame winner vs 2 Texas
9 Tennessee at 8 Georgia winner vs 1 Oregon

And as I type that, what a rough road for #1 Oregon.

Just for fun....had Painter used the portal..

There is literally zero way to spin "28% is better than 32%." That is delusional. He's shot poorly so far this year but he's in a role completely different from last year at Stanford. And if you feel 32% is somehow horrible from 3 as a frosh, then I don't know what to tell you. I don't even understand how you can make the case "Lance showed he could be better in other years but no way Carlyle can after his freshman year."

As far as Carlyles defense, he isn't a bad defender. He's still learning without any doubt but he's not bad and he's quick. And him being a good enough defender has given Indiana a Top 30 defense at the moment.
A top 30 defense against the teams IU has played isn’t the brag you think it is. Probably more of an indictment.

Maybe you should back off this Carlyle superman rant! This guy is shooting less than 30% from two and three. Defense??? Maybe if IU played somebody besides Pee-wee Herman and Mary had a little lamb, you could echo his defense, but he has shown practically nothing! Purdues freshman guards have been more productive than the over paid guard of IU! How much are you paying that dude?
At the moment he's about the same as Harris and Cox. Shoots a tiny bit worse from 3 than Cox by about a percent and shoots way better from 3 than Harris(who is at 21%). Slightly better PER right now and averaging a steal a game. I expect him to get better as he gets to play in his role more and he will have his moments here and there. But I'm not sure what I'm supposed to expect from the 4-5th scoring option? 15ppg?

Who exactly has Carlyle guarded that he can “get at it defensively”? UNCG or maybe South Carolina? Maybe it was eastern Illinois or even the rally tough team of Marian?

And he IS a bad shooter. Was bad last year and has been BAD this year. He has not shown the ability to be able to take people off the bounce consistently or hit big shots in a game like Lance did.

But remember, you cherry picked ONE year where Lance shot 28% but he showed in others he was better than that and Carlyle. It’s ok to say Carlyle is not who you all thought he’d be…although we all saw it coming.

Interesting. I think it's hilarious that Bama is most likely out of the first college playoff, and there's a pretty good chance that Georgia is as well. If Tenn. And the remaining contenders could all be squeaking in. I think it makes a "super League" all the more likely, with schedules that include powder puff non-cons and a smattering of "Washington Generals" teams in the league to allow for some easy wins.

That was a nice diversion

Although Furst has shown rebounding in the past he is averaging less than 2R per game and most of our roster is averaging more R/game than he currently is.
It is puzzling as he was a good rebounder in the past. Maybe others focusing on Edey/Trevion when he ws younger helped him out there to clean things up. Against Alabama he looked comfortable at walling off Cliff, so hopefully the production comes soon.

Biden and Mayorkas flooding the country with illegals before Trump takes office.

And Harris would’ve been “tough” on the border…. Soros and his open border policies rule the Democratic Party.

And they wonder why they got kicked out of office (but racists, misogynistic nazis).
You would think moving the world closer to WW3 would be enough for Biden, but nooooooooo. He also wants to max out on destroying the US internally before they wheel him away.

That was a nice diversion

Agreed.

Get the best 5 on the floor and let them get used to playing with one another. It will be fun to see Colvin and Heide grow this year.

Rebounding and rim protection will be struggle, but it was with the big lineup too. Might as well maximize the offensive and maybe change philosophy on D a bit and see if they can improve.

Harris and Berg looked more comfortable coming off the bench.

I like Furst getting more minutes too. He literally took 1.5 years off playing behind Edey. He is talented and once he knocks some rust off he will be a nice plus off the bench in B1G play. He's already getting better and love how he is getting to line and hitting FTs. He can high hedge on pick and roll on D too which will help offset not having rim protection with more pressure.

Ohio State

agree. But if one of those other 3 teams win b12 championship you will have low ranked teams getting in as AQ.

Also worth noting if A&M wins at home next week vs Texas, they will be in SEC championship game against Georgia for a chance for an AQ.

There are a lot of teams that can get in. Everyone acts like it’s decided. Right now I could about 20 teams that can get in.
Ok I may have mixed up your semantics because you said "BYU and B12." Going into yesterday it was a near lock for the B12 to have a max of one team, and after yesterday it's even moreso. The really odd thing is, had Army beaten Notre Dame, it would be entirely possible for the B12 to get shut out of the entire thing. Because it's the Top 5 conference champs, not the P4 + 1G5. If Army had won, they would get a huge jump and maybe be 15 or higher this week. Ahead of the collective mess that is the B12. And obviously Boise is already there as #4 in the bracket.

Yeah it's far from decided, and yesterday not only proved that, but it literally changed the entire landscape. I just put together my top 24 (couldn't find a 25th team) and REALLY got stuck after 11.

While possible, I can't see A&M beating Texas AND Georgia in back-to-back weeks, and that's what they'd have to do to get in. I've considered them a fraud since Day 1 when they were hot garbage against ND.

I actually put Clemson #12 this morning. If they beat the Cocks, they might get a slight jump. Only need a little bit more chaos to get in. Or if South Carolina wins, they go to that spot. The stupid thing is that Alabama is not out of consideration with 3 losses because of everything else last night.

Georgia will make it unless they lose to Tech AND the SEC CG. Expect them to be #7 Tuesday.

So today ESPN says this ... For all you Strength of Schedule Truthers out there crying about IU’s 100+ SOS— Indiana is now 51 after playing OSU. That’s better than Miami, ND, SMU and Oregon! That talking point just took a huge hit.
JMIU's SOS is what got them to 10-0. It is not Cig's fault teams like UW, UCLA, and meatchicken had down years - but all that combined to give them a weak SOS going into the tosu game, where it became clear they did not belong on the same field.

If JMIU gets in as an 11 or 12 seed, they will likely be visiting an SEC team in the first round, where they will likely be hammered.

Sorry, but at least you have your mercenaries-in-clownpants hoops team to look forward to.
