during the early game the ? who was the last team to play 3 of the top 5 teams in the same season, they said it was LSU

For all of you that love the strength of schedule and say that it actually matters, I’ll pose a question.

What if Walter’s and BoBo realized how tough the Purdue schedule was this year. And they use it as an excuse to bring back Walters. For another year? As it stands now, Iowa and Illinois will probably both end up in the top 25. Purdue’s schedule could end up as being the toughest in the NCAA this year. And maybe even the toughest ever.

And we almost won 4 games. As Walters would say……… We were so close.

I like Walters. He's a good dude. I wish it would have worked out better. If he gets one more year I will still hope it works out but not count on it.

So playing the bad we did why didn't we play better against them

One thing I don’t remember others bringing up…..in the late 80’s/early 90’s I’m pretty sure Purdue had the toughest schedule and was routinely in the top 10 toughest. Purdue did t win a ton, but they were not being embarrassed every week, either.

as I have said before, yeah it was a tough schedule but we didn't beat ANY of the weaker teams on the schedule
