It's historically bad for sure. I'm not sure it's lose 66-0 bad though. There's not a lot of heart to this team at this point. They told pretty quickly to adversity.

But yeah, has to be one of the slowest teams in school history, not just physically but mentally the decision making and reactions are really slow.

Problem at this point is recruiting. Walters has none. He's going to lose his best players to the portal. If you don't start over now, you'll be doing it next season, with worst players.

But I'll say again, starting over on the cheap again ain't going to change anything. If that's the plan for the second time in a row, then football doesn't matter at Purdue anymore anyways.

You have to like that he has fight, that he is working on things to get better and has confidence that he knows what to do and is intent on doing it.

I must share that my reaction to his hire was of confusion. I studied his past places and the idea that he was a leader of the defense at Illinois that was so very good. He has been a lot of places. He hasn't let the grass grow under his feet. I think he learned a lot from Coach Bielema and was important to their team at the time he left. That being said, I am not confident that he can find the support he needs to improve the coaching room now.

In closing, I give him great credit to holding to his faith and not throwing anyone or anything out as excuses for that lack of success the past two years. I think he is a classy guy and hope he finds success in the near future no mater where it is.

I’m not sure he had a real answer for anything. Apparently he thinks this “plan” of an de coaching staff and NIL money will save him.

I would have liked someone to ask if he will be willing to give up his defense he later about coming in that was one of the worst in the ncaa.

This football program is over. Done. No established coach is coming. The choice is either keeping this loser or hiring someone that no other P4 school would even have on their radar. Bobinski has to hit the powerball tomorrow or it’s game over for us forever.

We are an average talented team with abysmal coaching. Literally 0 adjustments over 24 games of this staff being here. I can’t believe I watched this shit. I KNEW we were doomed from that Fresno game on. We certainly haven’t gotten any better!

I think they adjusted, but due to a lack of talent or strength things didn’t work out. As an example the ends continued to crash down the line as the tackles kept getting abused most of the time. I remember what made Joe Paterno a very respected coach. when he had a victory secured, he didn't try to run up the score. whether you were a Paterno or Penn st fan, you respected their team and players for their sportsmanship. You didn't try to humiliate or embarrass your opponent.

I was at the Ohi st / Michigan game today. I was saddened by the actions taken after the game. I'm saddened even more to realize this is becoming the expected norm of our athletes and our society.

Coaching matters here. Conditioning matters here. Scheming matters here. Being sound in fundamentals can make up talent gaps when that talent isn’t as well coached as you.

Was too nice to say it but from the day he was hired he has not said 1 intelligent or insightful thing in a press conference. Generic buzzwords without meaning or context. Just mostly coach speak babble and none of it with any meaning, thought or feeling about it.

Hides behind that with the fact that he clearly knows little about leading men. He fooled Bobinski and Grimes but he never fooled me. Not for a second.

His clueless, vacant look was no different second one when he walked into the football facility to take the job as it was giving up 66 tonight.
