Walters says he can turn things around!

Since Walters says he can turn things around don't be surprise if Purdue gives him an extension and a raise. After all, how hard would it be for anyone to improve from 1 and 11!

Anyone on the staff who knows what shape a football is could probably do that! Time to get used to the fact that Purdue will be the laughing stock of the Big 10 for years to come!

Fire BOBO!

This is too bad to just fire the coach. Bobo hired this moron and then sat back and watched this shitshow. He hasn’t done crap for this program. MBB and VB are it and he hired neither coach. Some divers, a random golfer and track star here and there, minimum number of varsity sports and now football program is historically bad. You know GaTech doesn’t miss him.
I have absolutely no faith in Bobinski in hiring the next FB coach. He hired Walthers and did not see that it was a huge risk. Nor did he see the warning signs last season as well as this season. Vote of No Confidence for Bobinski.

Interesting take on potential BT members #19 & #20 (TAMU and ND)

There is buzz now that the big 12 will pick up the better teams of the acc. I do project the big ten will take Miami or florida state, likely the latter if they achieve AAU status, but it may be a couple of years. But I think B12 ends up with whatever florida team does not join the big ten, clemson, and other solid acc teams. I don’t see the benefit of ND in the big ten, and just as much rather see it go to B12. I’m not saying the acc will be on par with the Sec or B10, but it wouldn’t consider it folded.
SEC and Big 10 killing each other during the season, and they will get no benefit from that with the playoff committee. Crossing the country in the Big10 every week going to get old as well.

VIDEO: Walters addressed future, Indiana loss

You have to like that he has fight, that he is working on things to get better and has confidence that he knows what to do and is intent on doing it.

I must share that my reaction to his hire was of confusion. I studied his past places and the idea that he was a leader of the defense at Illinois that was so very good. He has been a lot of places. He hasn't let the grass grow under his feet. I think he learned a lot from Coach Bielema and was important to their team at the time he left. That being said, I am not confident that he can find the support he needs to improve the coaching room now.

In closing, I give him great credit to holding to his faith and not throwing anyone or anything out as excuses for that lack of success the past two years. I think he is a classy guy and hope he finds success in the near future no mater where it is.
I will give him that he doesn’t throw his players under the bus like Eberflus did, he falls on the sword. It does not seem like he lost the locker room, Jenkins and Hartwig seemed to believe he can lead. But i just don’t think it’s possible to recover from where we are.

Walters Has Some Work To Do!

he signed a $3M contract with a guy he hadn’t bothered to vet and now wants out. What does that tell you about his decision making process and if he’s qualified to run a program?

I wonder how he’d feel about that strategy if it was applied to his contract. Purdue was clearly duped by that clown.
Yes, that's what I took away from what I read as well.

Skimmed it. Really nothing to see here. Walters got into contract and claims he was duped...thus backing out.

Talk is just that … start paying attention to his actions. Some of the things I’ve found out about him paint a significantly different picture than the one you’re looking at.
