Purdue Volleyball Conspiracy

Could the recent addition of the USC transfer, and any monetary incentive she potentially received, have added to this discontent and portal moves? Seems coincidental.
I guess this possibility is one that could have some merit. I probably should have worded my post title differently, but I hope they don't all 3 end up at the same school, like Louisville. That said, what a gut punch if they all oddly ended up somewhere like at Indiana for $ reasons. I read where Indiana was an up-and-comer for volleyball.

I hate the way college sports has changed, but I guess I might as well get used to it or stop following.

ha ha. No I didn't read the 88 page report and the contents have nothing to do with this not being released until now and so what we have is due to the repubs gaining access to info things are starting to come out...ands more will as it goes forward. All this assuming the office of "justice" is one of the few not politicised as has been shown in recent history. That 88 page report was released days ago rather than years ago... ;)
What access do the pubs have now they didn't have the last 4 years?

If you read the damn summary you would know why it's being released now.

"Consistent with OIG practice, in spring 2022 the OIG paused aspects of our review to ensure that the OIG’s investigative work did not conflict with or compromise any ongoing DOJ criminal investigations or prosecutions. Having been informed by federal prosecutors last year that our review would no longer potentially interfere with pending criminal prosecutions, we resumed our work on this matter."

Are you changing the subject now? The contents aren't important, just when it was released?

Wow, Stephen Smith borrows a thought from Aaron Neville to tell it like it is

Yeah wtf?

No, I'm not going to spend 5 minutes to find and read the IG report. Instead, I'm going to take the word of a damn sports TV personality about what it says.

What really happened is he saw a black man who is on TV a lot, who just has to be a liberal, take his side on a political argument. OMG, a perceived liberal black man agrees with me, it has to be true. Owning the libs.
you are so wrong on so many accounts. First Steve is not agreeing with me. In order to agree with me, I had to make a statement for him to respond...otherwise we just share a similar thought on a particular item. Steve is talking about teh "RECENT" documentation that drum roll please.....just came out...not years ago and would not have been known had Harris had the extra millions of votes outside the normal population of voters like Biden had. We know how this administration works. Whether a black man or some other silly mention of a demographic has nothing to do with the truth.

Now, perhaps we will learn a lot more things in the future without the narrative desired projected for the public as the recent history has shown.

Did you read the report or did you just believe what you're told.......by Stephen A no less!!!!! Aren't you the guy constantly raving about libs believing what the media tells them?

What has changed is MORE info held from the public about the FBI involvement...like all the video that was hidden. All of this in order to project a narrative that they wanted to public to gather. Still, knowing what we do...how does anyone believe anything the media states based upon their history?

Wow, Stephen Smith borrows a thought from Aaron Neville to tell it like it is

Of course he didn't read the read the report. They just grab at the headlines and run with it. Informants are not FBI employees.

Exactly. What ELSE are they lying about or withholding from us?

The DOJ needs to be turned upside down.

First of all, Stephen A. Smith although not a black grifter will at times display rhetoric depending on which way the wind blows.

The FBI informants being at Jan 6 is old news. We discussed that here many times. What I see many folks doing is conflating FBI informants with actual FBI undercover agents. FBI informants like the ones involved in Jan 6 as well as on the streets of Chicago helping the FBI bust drug dealers are regular folks not employed by the FBI. The bottom line is that most of these FBI informants are shady characters on the ground helping the FBI in hopes of getting a reduced sentence or even some cash to help their cause. It's always been well documented that the leader of the Proud Boys that was present and involved in the Jan 6 mayhem was an FBI informant. Again, not an FBI agent.

So, if y'all are hoping that this will somehow lessen the sting or exonerate of the rest of 2,000 crazy MAGA Flavor Aiders jacking up the Capitol, you are mistaken. These FBI informants are crazy MAGA Flavor Aiders like the rest of them.

Absolutely nothing has changed. There were still 2000 crazy MAGA Flavor Aiders trying to stop VP Mike Pence from certifying the 2020 election.

College vs NBA

The illegal streaming is definitely hurting them but that's their own fault.

People also don't like just seeing 40+ 3s being chucked a game. They don't like prima donnas. They don't like seeing dudes sitting because they are "tired" while getting paid 40, 50, 60mil. They don't like dudes traveling across the world getting to the bucket. NBA has a ton of problems, there just isn't anyone in the front office who has a brain or balls to fix it.

How long can Boiler Basketball avoid being portaled?

Painter will eventually have to play the nil game on offense as well as defending against poaching if he wants to make a long tourney run. Maybe if he holds his base next year he can make a run without more than a role player pickup. After that, not so sure.
I just hope that Painter does not get disillusioned and frustrated with this wild, wild west process and get out like the Virginia coach did.

@Riveting since I didn't want you to miss this. In the midst of more truths coming out with many more yet to happen, this little gem is worth the couple of minutes listen. Still, as the mirage created by the dems fades, we are reminded there is a lot of damage to fix and some minds needing therapy. With the Christmas season upon us, now is the time to remember some unfortunate posters on the wrong side of history (which was known by many to be known by all) and hope their absence is not indicative of a lingering trauma.

Border wall auction

I get that. However, she was being pushed if I remember correctly and a mixed signal had already been sent in other areas of actually inviting them in. If I recall correctly, you could tell she wasn't a threat, but behind those may have been construed as such...but it never got that far as an unarmed women was killed. It certainly didn't have to get where it was and the Jan actors should have been more honest with the video that was hidden from the public. This administration has hidden other things from the public. It is and was the most destructive administration to this country in my lifetime and perhaps teh history of the country and I don't think we have seen the worse yet...
Your recall stinks. She wasn't being pushed, she was trying to climb through the window.

Does it look like people were being "invited in"? These people trying to break down the doors weren't a threat?

Why doesn't she share any of the blame here?

Why don't you at least try to give the impression of being remotely objective?

Does CMP go after another .......

I think going into the portal is situational for us.

1. 4/5 Hybrid big - need someone proven who can push Jacobsen and Burgess in practice and be reliable.
2. 1/2 Combo guard - we need a guy who can release pressure and get a bucket like Lance did.

Both need to be guys with 1 year eligibility left - IMO. They carry the lowest amount of risk to disrupt our lineup and cohesion on the team.

For 2 - I honestly think Painter has to find more options to get Cox and Smith playing together. Cox has shown more ability to score and make things happen on both sides of the ball. If you can build him up - he can be that guy next year.

How long can Boiler Basketball avoid being portaled?

Few things.

1. I don't think we want to know what happens behind the scenes in the murky waters of NIL and agents. The situation is basically worse than professional sports because they have standards and aren't allowed to contact until someone is a free agent.

2. We will probably see someone jump.... I am not sure who and won't speculate. It is just a reality, the world has changed and we will see it. It has been said that Gonzaga came hard after Braden and I am sure he will have people banging down his door with massive amounts of money.....
