Here’s a solution for you. Why don’t some blacks form their own companies and hire whoever they want. Bezos started Amazon selling a few books out of the garage. Apple was the same way. Don’t have to be rich to build a mega company.

Opra and Jordan are billionaires. They could get behind this if you believe funding would be an issue. Plenty of wealthy black people are in society today.

So again why haven’t some blacks opened up a large company to hire their choice of employees?

There up go again assume that DEI only hires non-qualified blacks and minorities. Just like the old Sanford & Son episode. Fred assume thy the black dentist got his degree from correspondence school and the white dentist was professionally trained. So he chose the white dentist. The white dentist was actually the least qualified bd coil not do the procedure. The professionally trained black dentist had to come in.

Before DEI how many white folks have jacked stuff up throughout the years. Yeah I know it’s hard to believe. No one says anything about that.

Side note - OSU looked really bad last night. How did they beat Kentucky? Offense is just iso and jack a contested jumper. They have no post game either. Their 5s make Zed Key look like Hakeem Olajuwon.

I really hope Woodson turns the IU ship around too. They looked great! Keep it up Mike! That is how the best coaches get their teams to respond!

Similarly to 2019, Michigan and Michigan State play twice toward the end. Michigan State plays Michigan twice, @ Illinois and hosts Purdue among its last seven games. Oregon looks to have the most favorable (on paper).....you never know for sure, but there definitely are some potential really good match-ups down the stretch.

Long, long way to go before that, and other teams could fight their way into the mix.

Red states like FL and others have done the same but Holcomb never succumbed to that BS of getting rid of DEI programs in the state unless I missed something.

NBA just doesn't want to take short players unless they are crazy athletic.

I think he'd have a second round shot although more likely he'd be a free agent pickup who's get his shot in the summer leagues.

If we were just talking skill (or if he were 6-3), then he'd be first round this year. Otherwise, I don't see it.

Before folks get upset, I'm in no way saying Smith couldn't possibly play in the NBA. I am saying NBA scouts and GMs are going to see 6 foot and not super athletic (for the NBA) as giant red flags that no amount of skill is likely to make them want to invest a first round pick in him.

Now, nothing prevents him from taking the summer league and forcing them to eat crow, but he can't control that bias that seems to be pretty evident in the NBA against shorter guards.

In the scheme, he was taught/told/coached to do that.

The MLB was supposed to then contain the outside. While Walters was here the LBs were either too slow or not talented enough to execute on that making the OLBs look worse than they actually were.

You could see the dilemma in his eyes late in the year. Hop inside like he’s coached to do and let a big run go past or react to the play, set the edge himself and get benched by his coach for not running the scheme.

There were a few games at the end of the year where he made the right read, made the right play but got his butt Sat down by Walters because he did t do what he was told.

That was Walters tenure here in a Nutshell!

Other than the 2000 Rose Bowl ( and maybe the Tyler Trent OSU miracle) , I’m hard pressed to name any Purdue game in 50 years that has even approached the level of “hugeness” that Franklin has routinely gotten Penn State to.

As to the “cost” what are you referring to? I haven’t heard anything slimy attributed to Franklin, other than that he rubs certain people the wrong way.
