Is horrific!! A big issue with college basketball is lack of scoring, and they play in football stadiums and it makes shooting impossible. These games are almost impossible to watch. I get they can cram more people on these stadiums, but for the sake of good basketball, stop this!!

It's even worse to watch live. Not a good seat in the house. You end up watching the damn big screen.

This is definitely an issue. If you watched the game in Houston last night - the set-up is horrible.

Syracuse is actually one venue that they have a pretty good set-up.

The NCAA has taken notice of this and has curbed the use of football stadiums. The 2016, 2017 and 2018 tournaments have 0 football stadiums hosting any games leading up to the Final Four. Cities who typically use football stadiums, like Indianapolis, are hosting in their basketball arenas.

Of course, the Final Four games are still being played in football stadiums. Like I said, some set-ups are not horrible - Syracuse has a good one. But some - like Houston's - are terrible.

I agree that the shooting environment in the Houston stadium is difficult.....it's also something with the rims and the floor.....just not a good set-up.

However, as a spectator, the sight lines aren't as bad as like with the Silverdome, the old Hoosier Dome or the Alamo Dome. I've seen several games there, including Purdue/Duke in 2010, and it is not a bad place to watch a game for such a big facility. JMHO.

but it seems like decent prep though, gives them more opportunity to get acclimated to the larger stadium/background.

would be interesting if someone had the numbers on the success of teams playing the sweet 16/elite 8 in football stadiums and if they outperform those that don't in the final four. (not perfect comparison or correlations if seeds are different, etc, but would be interesting nonetheless).
