I think that would make the 4 seed NW and Wisconsin the 5. I think either one would be a favorable 2nd round opponent for us compared to Minnesota and MSU. Obviously still want to win but think it's been interesting how things could set up.
I mean, unless Penn State beats Iowa and Michigan beats Nebraska, we will be facing the winner of Michigan/Illinois (likely Michigan). Right there is a game against a tournament team that we lost to pretty handily a week ago.
And if that scenario does play out, we would be facing winner of Illinois/Iowa. Iowa not a team we've had a lot of success with - and quite frankly, Illinois has been showing signs of life lately and they would certainly like payback for the beatdown we gave them.
Our first game will be a challenge no matter what.
Which is exactly why I'm not overly concerned about it. All teams that can beat us if we don't play well but none that I think will beat us if we do play well. The only teams in this that I feel pose a greater danger to us than others are Minnesota and Maryland. Doesn't mean we can't or won't lose to others but I really like our chances best if those two are in the other half of the bracket.
