How Many Days Has It Been Since iu Defeated Purdue in BB?

Hey Inspector. How many days has it been since Indinia last beat Purdue in basketball?
Well Andy, you pose a good question. Indinia is a small, rural cultural school cut back in the far reaches of no where. They are not even listed in Div 3. We currently don't have room on our schedule, but the first game between the two could be as soon as 2023. So the answer to your question is: "Since the beginning of time." Now the real number we want to acknowledge on this bright, sunny Monday in Sep is 2025. That is the number of days since the Indiana University Hoosiers have won a men's basketball game over our mighty Boilermakers.

I was toying with the idea that I would change the name on this thread of IU to Indinia University in an effort to create more jabs at the school down south. But things changed as time went on this past week as Indiana State University alumni and students have started a "Bash the Hoosiers" campaign that I felt should stand on its own. They have more invested in the state name than we do, so that seemed fitting. And it also crossed my mind that if the name of the school down south was actually that, then we could petition the state to change the name to Purdue. These things can happen. Streets get renamed all the time. Even cities get a new name based on the whims of the younger generation that seem to want everything as they see it. But think, Purdue being the 19th state in the Union and then change the name of IPFW to Purdue State University. But then I awoke from that dream and realized it has been 2032 days since the school down south won a basketball game against the Purdue University Men's Basketball Team. Those are changes that one can bank on.

Well done, Inspector.

They keep waking up but the nightmare for Indinia U continues.

Oh man Inspector, where to begin? I'll start with the lay-up: whoever made the attached meme is a genius! It's straight outta left field, very brief and is as innocuous as a butterfly (unless you're an IU fan). The best part? It's giving ISU ownership of the "Indiana" name! And their football uniforms look sharp too.
I give this meme an A+

And apparently they've been hating on the Loosiers for awhile.

Street renaming, hah! There is a Purdue Street in Lafayette and about 30-32 years ago the City of Lafayette got tired of Purdue students and fans stealing the street signs, so they changed the spelling to "Perdue Street"; kind of a chicken-sh!t move if you ask me, only because I hadn't stolen my sign yet. 😇

IPFW became Purdue Fort Wayne on July 1, 2018. And much to their credit, they KNOW what Old Gold is! Oh, and IU b-ball is 0-2 against them, which brings me to this not-so-new-yet-golden video (gotta love the cornball background music):

2039. 2039, is a nice number. It has character. It has size. It has the things that make people look twice to see what is going on. It is a happening type number that has significance of grandeur. And nothing is grandeur than know the number 2039 represents the days since the school down south has won a men's basketball game against our Purdue Boilermaker team. 2039. Yeah!

My Monday has taken a turn for the inconvenient as I am stranded away from home with no feeling for when I return. The car is in the shop for repairs needed to continue my journey. I have a hotel room and a rental car so it isn’t the end of the world at this point. But obstacles like this tend to make you appreciate the more important things in life. And the best example for that is the number 2046. All you know what that represents.

Holy cow. First, you fix your garage door, now it's the vehicle that goes in? Have you investigated a connection between the two?

Sorry for your trials, Inspector. It's good that you are focusing on the positives.

2046 positively represents total domination.

First, I want to thank all of those concerned for me this past week. That is another data point that shows I am important to some. That gives me confidence that I will have some importance in this society down the road. It turned out that I didn't need the rental last week and I didn't need to have my hotel room extended. I received great news from the dealer just after I mentioned my problem here, that they not only had diagnosed this issue, but had fixed it and my vehicle was ready for me to pick up. That was surprising and the biggest surprise was to learn that my issue was loose lug nuts on one of the rear wheels. No relation to the garage door replacement that was over a year ago at this point. But it was a big problem for my dealer now that this has happened a second time during my ownership of this vehicle. I went to my dealer last Tuesday and after a small discussion, confirmed they would cover my dealer costs and hotel room for my problem. This was amazing news for me and overshadowed any sort of disappointment from this past weekend.

Today is a pretty dreary day, just as last Saturday. It is almost as if the sun didn't come up today. But then reality hit me and I realized that even under those conditions, the day is a great one because it contains the value 2053. 2053 is a ray of sunshine that dwarfs any other aspect of this fine day, as it represents the number of days since our men's basketball team has lost a game to IU.

Today is the Monday after attending a high school class reunion. I graduated from Connersville High School in 1966, so this was the 55th year for that class. We had just short of 300 in the class and all of us are now 73 years old, give or take a year. Only one person at the reunion looked as he did from my high school days. But everyone was happy and engaging. There were no grudges left over from 1966. All of my conversations were delightful. I am very pleased I went and very thankful that I could. I bring this up because it is a positive feeling that is fresh in my mind. And it is also a positive feeling that it has been 2060 days since our men's basketball team lost a game to the team from Indiana University. That number dwarfs many things left to your imagination. Let the dream continue.

Sorry, Inspector... a slight correction...

It is Monday again! Wow, time is passing quickly from last Monday. We are almost to the World Series. The NHL has started and the NBA will soon be into their regular season. It is also noteworthy to mention the NCAACF season is about 1/2 way through and some interesting things have happened that are very precious to us. Our football team has a winning record and just went to the field of Our Most Hated Rival and won the game 24-7. It was especially pleasing since their team was 6-0 and rated #2 in the nation. And their fan base has been very engaging and complimentary of our team, staff and fans. That is the way it is supposed to work. That brings me to the most important number that has now grown to 2067. There are a few fans of the team related to that number that engage here in a professional manner. I appreciate that. But it seems that it has taken a number such as this to remove the garbage from our fanboard. And it has also removed the "Rival" term for that team from our list. Agree?

I decided to post this information after mid-night Sunday as the tempo is picking up for me. I am traveling to Arcadia, FL for some Florida weather in November, leaving on Nov 2. So this next several days are important for me to properly prepare for the travel. I will have a colonoscopy on Nov 1, but that shouldn't interfere with addressing this topic. And all of you know exactly what this topic is. The new number is now 2074. Any questions?

Here's one: do you think the number of days will reach Zager and Evans territory? By the way, I was a year before you, my brother a year after at Connersville. Unfortunately, he went to iu.

The new week has arrived and I breezed through the colonoscopy. All I need from that now is a clean bill of health for the two polyps that were removed. Yesterdays prep went pretty easy with most of it just inconvenience. Little tidbits include that it took me 30 minutes to mix the solution. And it sort of got boring drinking that same taste for several hours. Root beer today was awesome. The meds were easy and I was bopping around at 3pm. What does this have to do with anything? Nothing, but there is something that is just as critical to us as 29-23 was last Saturday. Let's give a tremendous shout out to the football team for their trip to Lincoln, NE. And lets also give a shout out to 2081. That number is prime on all of our minds as the new men's basketball season begins very soon. Boiler Up!

It has been quite the week. I had the colonoscopy Monday, then drove to Port Charlotte, FL on Tuesday. It was 1070 miles in a little over 16 hours. Spent the week in Arcadia racing. The Boiler FB team won yet another big game scoring 40 points. Then raced to 2nd in my class Sunday. Driving home as I am getting fuel in Nashville. Glad to see the 2088 posted. What could be better? Let’s celebrate.

Good evening all. It is that time again. Time again to look again at the number. It is seven days later than the last look and time for an update. The update is 2095 to the number we are watching at the end of 2021. Party on!

Thank you, Inspector, for continuing to providing quantification to the dominance. Just as we are now well into the 21st Century, we will be well into the 2100's of days before IU next has a chance to challenge that dominance.

Today is another milestone in the acknowledgement of the number of days since our men's basketball team lost a game to our once rival down south. The milestone is that the number has grown to more than 2100 days, 2102 to be exact. But let us also acknowledge the very recent achievements of our team as they embark on the long journey of the 2021/2022 college basketball season. They played in a small tournament, if you will, in Connecticut last weekend against some pretty powerful college programs that were frankly owed a big L in response to meets in the recent past. Our mighty team was successful in gaining the W against each program with great pleasure for all that make up the Purdue Boilermaker Nation . And with other things happening with women's volleyball, it was a great weekend to be a Boilermaker. This celebration of 2102 shall continue and the number will grow accordingly. I say we Party On!

I really have nothing against Woodson. What's the IU student section called these days?

No real story today. Well, I did travel to St. Louis last weekend to visit friends and enjoy one of my hobbies. Then went to a scheduled oil change for my car this morning. That stuff got me up early each day. But wait. There is a real story today. It has to do with a special number. A number that grows as the days pass by. And the number is 2109. All of you know what that number is and why it is a REAL story.
