Game Thread: Purdue vs. Arizona

Mr. Yankee has it right. It is also what I was saying. We shoot like we usually do, we win all three days. The Edwards boys went really cold the first two days. Didn't warm up until today.

This team is going to be stressful to watch this year if this hot and cold, up and down effort, is the way it’s going to be. Here’s hoping tonight is the norm.

like i said before, if we hit the shots we are supposed to then we win. not coaching not rebounding. scoring is what wins games. how the heck did we shoot so poorly against tenn and wku is a big mystery to me.
They played better defense than Zona, and we looked for better shots this game.

Yeah, Math....other than that last fade away.....Vincent Edwards' shot selection and willingness to take it to the rack is much better this game. C-Boogie....when he gets hot and squares up....tough to guard.....a few "hunts," but more under control. More intensity on D for the team as well. Gotta give some props to Matt Haarms for throwing some "haymakers" and firing guys up.

Hope the Boilers can put another one together for a complete game and something to build upon.

The thing is that I don’t think anyone has an issue when Boogie hunts a bit when he does it semi-controlled like he did tonight. He was ultra patient in he first half and even passed up a few shots he took the previous games. He is so much better when he allows the game to come to him...dare I say a B1G 1st Teamer if he plays like he did tonight consisntely in Conference.

OK, time for me to sign off.............but first a midnight snack:)

Talk to y'all later.........good win, good win

great game by boilers tonight.

admittedly, i'm surprised by how little fight arizona put up. it's like they know their entire season is worthless due to the ongoing investigation or something. very lackluster.

Just think if Taylor and Cline could start it up...........and I thought this was a given.........got to be patient I suppose
As much as we all want JT to evolve in to the player we hope he could become, I think his injuries have really hampered him. He is good on the defensive end but you can really see his rust on the offensive end. He really needs to knock that rust off because he’ll be needed again one night in conference and if he can step up and grab some boards and a bucket or two...it could mean stealing a victory when Haas and Haarms are struggling.

I really hope he can get past the injuries and the rust because the front court gets crowded again next season with Williams and Dow coming in and Ewing with a full season under his belt.
