Out of curiosity, I looked at Walker’s totals for the year. Shooting-wise, he’s comparable to Gillis. Low-volume, high percentage. I don’t think anyone thought he’d be the guy in that last possession. While we can’t put Gillis at the point, he does seem like a perfect candidate for a drive-and-dish at the end of shot/game clocks when everyone collapses on Ivey/Edey/Williams. I suppose the trick might be getting Ivey to actually pass the ball in that scenario, but it would probably be our highest percentage chance. Anything would be better than our usual drive into traffic and fumble it away.
