it was said he was announcing today. Anyone know if he did? Sounded like it was down to UM or MSU with an outside chance of Purdue.

Thank you. I was looking for info and hadn't seen this. I appreciate you finding it. Sounds like Purdue would be an outside chance of getting him.Nope. Also sounds like it was false.

I stand corrected.
not being recruited just for just one spot.Hmm not sure Michigan is the final destination......
Michigan just offered another in same position in Race Johnson on 6/23/2017.
Maybe they did this to speed up Johns decision or they know he is picking elsewhere.....
Many say Pete Nance is a Michigan lean too......
Just never know these days.....but I say that is too many for one spot......
I think Purdue has a shot for sure.....

Not sure we are going to get him and I don't try to read into Twitter too much but I did notice he started following Coach Gary recently. Probably last 5-10 that he started following.C'mon Brandon! You witnessed the electricity of Mackey and the great fans here against MSU.
This seems more hopeful in thinking versus reasonable. I've seen nothing to suggest Johns is anything more than a long shot.He can't go to Michigan if he lives in East Lansing. Purdue is the most logical choice if he is not going to MSU. This will be the reverse of what Gary Harris did.
Right, just hopeful. 247 experts all have him going to Beilein. It would be a shocker. This seems more hopeful in thinking versus reasonable. I've seen nothing to suggest Johns is anything more than a long shot.

So Talen Horton Tucker (recently received an offer) just wished Johns good luck today. The tweet was liked by the official Purdue account. Not sure we are going to get him and I don't try to read into Twitter too much but I did notice he started following Coach Gary recently. Edit: looks like they removed it. Strange.
Oh, I'm not holding out any hope. We'll find out in about an hour. He's choosing Michigan, but I can never fault a Fan for holding out hope
I remember Justin Jennings out of Grand Rapids during the Big Dog era. I can't think of any others right now.Who was the last recruit we got out of Michigan?
Looks like he is back in Michigan as a school superintendent:I remember Justin Jennings out of Grand Rapids during the Big Dog era. I can't think of any others right now.
We recruited Ije Nwankwo from Detroit Country Day in 2003.Who was the last recruit we got out of Michigan?
That is exceptionally cool.Looks like he is back in Michigan as a school superintendent:

Loren Clyburn was from there I believe, no surprise w/ Johns to me, he's the same size as the Johnson kid that left and kind of looks like him too minus the hair.Who was the last recruit we got out of Michigan?

Steve Scheffler the big center from Grand Rapids in the mid-1980's.
Scheff is my favorite Boiler of all time.Probably the one that comes to mind most.....finished @ 69.8% FG and a "not too shabby" 80.5% from the FT line winning Big Ten Player of the Year honors in 1990.
I thought he was from Ada , Mi. ?Steve Scheffler the big center from Grand Rapids in the mid-1980's.

Scheff was always introduced from Ada, MI.
Prior to Steve Scheffler we had his older brother Tom, and prior to Tom Scheffler we had Gary Bancroft, from Linden, Michigan, who tragically died before joining the varsity.Ada it is.....thanks to Pa and Inspector for the clarification.
