Boo Birds

One could not help but hear the chorus of boos from the crowd at the half of the Iowa game. I was shocked. It was a bad half, ok, but this team had won 4 of its last 5 games.
Is this new to Ross-Ade? I was at every game in 2019 and never heard booing once. I've watched most games since that season and don't recall hearing them on TV. Has this been going on for long?

This is what happens when the fans actually show up. In the Hazell years, you didn’t hear the boo birds because there were so few fans that showed up. If you have a packed stadium and you lay an egg the boo birds will make their displeasure known

NIL will probably have an effect too. Instead of thinking of the players as fellow students, they may think of them as professionals, and get a bit more hostile when they play poorly.

Wasn't there but definitely heard the boos on TV. I'm guessing most of that was frustration due to the dreadful play calling from the 2 yard line.
