All the talk is about Wheeler, and justifiably so. He had great all-around production & was the difference maker in a game we very easily could have lost, but I thought Carsen also pulled the reins on some of his more questionable shot attempts. Doyel writes in the Star about how Carsen has very little help on offense, but some of those players haven't had many opportunities to score because of Carsen's decision making. When the ball doesn't "stick" in one player's hands & the defense is forced to rotate, the majority result is an open look. Many of these players, including board whipping-boy Grady Eifert, can make open looks, and the team will win more games as a result.

Now if we could just cut down on careless turnovers...
