If it gets Walters bags packed, so be it.Do we want to lose by 100?

Probably. As a team, Indiana had -68 rushing yards. Rourke had -33. Indiana probably also picked up a few first downs off OSU penalties (9 total). That's pretty amazing. Was the total offense dumbed down by yardage lost on sacks?
I was just going to post that, on Minny last drive the receiver had his mask yanked on the 30 and the announcers even said w/ a possible facemask and nothing was called, would have taken it to the 15That was ridiculously bad.....they've also missed a couple of face-mask penalties on Penn State.
Didn't look like PI along with it being uncatchable out of bounds. Double bad call.
Haha I figured! Shawn Foster from Ohio looks to be our only other offerno, I would recall that. Seems like maybe it was a player from Missouri but I could be way off...
agree w/ that as I stated above in reply to Chi BoilerAlso to be fair, IU's last touchdown was also just window dressing.
That’s not a horrible idea…. Bring him to Purdue to talk about Space X, astronauts, etc. let him teach a class.Honorary PhD in Aerospace Engineering.
I think he got more from k stateI'm sure a cool million would have assuaged that
what is it like his 6th yr?They just talked about his play for Kansas in their game vs Colorado…
Who exactly has Carlyle guarded that he can “get at it defensively”? UNCG or maybe South Carolina? Maybe it was eastern Illinois or even the rally tough team of Marian?Kadary Richmond is a 6-5 guard that started out at Cuse and then spent the last 3 years at Seton Hall. Was considered the best transfer in the portal and is now at St. Johns. Averaged 15.7ppg, 7rpg, 5apg. This year is averaging 10, 6 and 6. Averaged 2.2 steals last year as well. Was All Big East 1st team and lead Seton Hall to an NIT title last year.
Jaxson Robinson is a 6-7 G/F that followed Pope to Kentucky. Started at Arky then Texas A&M. Played about 30 games total his FR and SO years. Went to BYU for 2 years and played 66. Averaged 14ppg and shot 35% from 3. He was the Big 12s 6th Man last year.
The best fit would have probably been Carlyle. A quick guard that has shown he can get at it defensively on the perimeter. You can say he was a bad shooter but remember, Lance Jones shot 28% the year before coming to Purdue and shooting 35.7%. Carlyle shot 32% from 3 last year at Stanford as a freshman.
Mayo may have been an even better fit just as a scoring option and someone to take pressure of of Smith to score and handle the ball(and kinda the same for Richmond).
no, I would recall that. Seems like maybe it was a player from Missouri but I could be way off...Jason Gardner Jr?
Oh yeah for sure. Seemed like he wanted to get others involved and only played 26 mins which is low for himI didn’t watch today’s game, but I have no doubt that Smith will be fine.
Maybe you should back off this Carlyle superman rant! This guy is shooting less than 30% from two and three. Defense??? Maybe if IU played somebody besides Pee-wee Herman and Mary had a little lamb, you could echo his defense, but he has shown practically nothing! Purdues freshman guards have been more productive than the over paid guard of IU! How much are you paying that dude? The best fit would have probably been Carlyle. A quick guard that has shown he can get at it defensively on the perimeter. You can say he was a bad shooter but remember, Lance Jones shot 28% the year before coming to Purdue and shooting 35.7%. Carlyle shot 32% from 3 last year at Stanford as a freshman.
Agree...if not for the DJ injury, I don't think you'd see him until BW and the walk-ons enter the game.Looks like Berg is the 9-10th man right now, that’s where he needs to be, a 6-8 minute a game player.
The rb blew through the line when iu knew a run was coming and slid down at the goal line, so the last TD was not really window dressing in terms of not being a reflection of relative strength. And OSU had at least 5 sacks. So I don't think it was closer than the score looked.they have a bad resume, yes but I think they belong in a 12 team playoff, that game was closer than it looked, they gave up 14 points to special teams which is correctable and the last TD was just window dressing
I think it’s all irrelevant as I only expect one team from B12 to go.Kinda, and I almost said that, but can only see one team getting in from the Big 12 no matter what. The loser today is done. Meanwhile Kansas giving it to Colorado early.
I get the feeling walters will stay regardless so im going with the double win. Beating iu on the scoreboard then keeping them out of the playoffs.Highly unlikely that we keep the Bucket game within 4 TDs, but wondering what everyone thinks.
Would you rather beat IU and risk that Walters would stay on for another year? It is possible that a loss to us could also keep IU out of the CFP. With our record, it should remove them from consideration with the strength of their schedule.
If we would upset IU, I could see Bobinski giving Walters consideration for another year, because we might be turning the corner in his logic. Of course, we know that would make next year a complete lost year and set our program back 2 to 3 years minimum.
So, beat IU and Walters stays or get beat by IU and Walters is gone?
Didn't look like PI along with it being uncatchable out of bounds. Double bad call.can't believe the Refs called that , wasn't close
Of course Painter was here, but he hired Brohm, which was a very good hire. Otherwise, what sports are you talking about?I think President Chiang has blinders on. It wasn’t that long ago that he made a post on social media about Bobinski being the best AD in America.
We need to stop pretending and accept the brutal truth of where our athletic program is. Our best sports are those whose teams are led by coaches who were already in place before Bobinski’s arrival. That says a lot!
I believe in judging by results. Results under Bobinski’s watch for those programs where he has had direct influence are miserable.
Just add the athleticism on defense and maybe some scoring from the 4/5 spot. I’d say he’d be a nice fill in next to TKR. But I guess he wasn’t known as a dominant rebounder. What would he be 'great' at here? Did you think he was 'great' at anything at IL? Serious questions. He's certainly long and athletic.
Jason Gardner Jr?2027 pg
but can’t recall the name. Lance was there as was Julia
