thought Purdue was the answer to the trivia ?

For all of you that love the strength of schedule and say that it actually matters, I’ll pose a question.

What if Walter’s and BoBo realized how tough the Purdue schedule was this year. And they use it as an excuse to bring back Walters. For another year? As it stands now, Iowa and Illinois will probably both end up in the top 25. Purdue’s schedule could end up as being the toughest in the NCAA this year. And maybe even the toughest ever.

And we almost won 4 games. As Walters would say……… We were so close.
I like Walters. He's a good dude. I wish it would have worked out better. If he gets one more year I will still hope it works out but not count on it.

Several other key losses today helped IU’s cause. I have to believe 1-2 teams will be upset next week. And somebody will lose in a championship game. I understand the results of a championship game are not supposed to matter. But if you look at past college football and championship game results and bowl bids, it does matter. I’ve seen several sec and big 10 teams that were not in the championship game get better bowl bids than the teams that lost.

I expect somebody in the sec or big 12 or acc will be upset next week and IU will gain the last playoff bid. The only question I have is being the last playoff team better than the potential bowl bid they would receive if they finished the season with 1 loss but were not in the playoffs?
Uh if someone loses in the championship game it’s still an automatic bid for the winner. So that actually works against indiana. If clemson beats South Carolina next week or Miami beats smu in championship game. If Miami loses next week then clemson plays smu and good chance they both go if clemson beats the cocks. Long way of saying any way you want the acc to play out there’s a decent chance there could be 2 teams. Same with big 12. Colorado, Arizona state, Iowa state could all get a spot and take an automatic qualifier. It’s possible the acc, byu, and b12 could have AQ out of top 10 so indiana would have to finish in top 9 to get in.

Loosiers Failed Their Only Real Test...

We are a very bad program right now and out performed a "top 5" program late in the year fighting for a CFP spot 😂.

6th vs. 106 SOS. I get it! IU was the football story this year, but after playing a top tier program they got dog walked.
Unfortunately, they're probably going to take it out on Purdue next weekend.

Cignetti has already been lobbying for Indiana. They'll be looking to put up 60+.

Lord knows Purdue's taken them to the cleaners plenty of times.

Agreed —- the object of the game is to score touchdowns.

I feel pretty confident in stating that none of these butt- hurt IU people whining about OSU’s “classlessness” will have any problem with IU tacking on meaningless TD after TD next week against Purdue…
They’ve been cheering on Cignetti “running it up” on everyone all season.

IU was talking shit before the game and Day didn't like it when IU went for 2 and the on side kick when the game was over.

OT. Geeeezzzzz boys from Wiscon real

NE beat CRTN. Got some good portal guys.

Wisconsin on the other hand, has two athletic high scoring guards. Team puts up tons of points, their D isn't quite there yet

Their coach has shown how to blend recruiting with a portal or two. Hopefully, this years portal version doesn't give up on the season half way through.
psu is also 5 - 0, that'll be tough to play them in The Tomb

Ohio State

Wow on that last td. Props for the tb stopping but not sure whay was going on with day after that. Either there was something said before the game that day was pissed about or he was just being an ass.

Marshall at Purdue: MASTER DISCUSSION THREAD

You know...I'm struggling where I read that. Seeing Jason Garner's name adds to me feeling old. I remember watching him as a senior go up against Chris Thomas that I was high on and wished he would have went to Purdue instead of ND in a game at Pike. I think Chris as a freshman went for 24 that game? I wrote a bit about him years ago on Mr Hoops. ;) He was most valuable as an 8th grader in Purdue's invite camp. Purdue had a good shot, but...

Chris Thomas – Thomas was the runaway winner in the Mr. Basketball vote as a senior in 2000-01 after helping Pike to a 91-15 record and two state championships (1998 and 2001). Thomas, who also won the Trester Award and was the Gatorade Player of the Year for Indiana, finished with a Pike record 2,156 career points and 499 assists. The 6-1 McDonald’s All-American averaged 23.4 points, 5.8 assists and 3.7 steals as a senior. In four seasons at Notre Dame, Thomas totaled 2,195 points and 833 assists. He averaged 17.1 points and 6.5 assists per game over 128 games from 2001-05. Notre Dame made an NCAA tournament Sweet 16 appearance in 2003. Thomas ranks second in Big East history in assists per game and ninth in points. Thomas played professional basketball in Europe from 2005 to 2012.
Thomas was really good for those ND teams! I remember watching him play.

Would be cool to land Jason’s son!

OT: The Pac 12 (minus 10) championship game is on the CW

Out of everyone those two programs are the ones I feel worst for. It's too bad they couldn't have retained Cal and Stanford and put together something exclusively out west. May not have maintained power conference status but at least it would have made sense regionally. I'd still rather be in that position than in the ACC as a West Coast team.
especially when those teams went to the ACC without payment. George Kliavkoff was absolutely abysmal as an commissioner and should face punitive damages - guy was a joke.

of the year. Watched them for the first time this year. Both of their lines got manhandled. Didn't see an area they are outstanding at. Definitely not a top 10 team and shouldn't be in the playoff. They will still beat us 48 to 7 next week. BoBo need to wake up. It's time for a new coach for us.

We saw that the emperor had no cloths.
