Not anything left to say about this SHIT…

msu is a very beatable team and we're down 3 scores at half
I mean look, if we had $10mil more in NIL we could watch better defensive players give up 45 to below .500 teams and Card wait 8 seconds instead of 6 to over or under throw a taller and faster covered receiver.

Yes, money keeps us from being competitive vs elite teams…but this coach, his staff and his schemes keep us from being competitive vs bad teams. So what does that make us.

According to Walters - Close!

And what does MBob think will happen to donations if he keeps this guy another year?

I doubt he cares.

If we don’t fire Walters after this week the “I want to retire and let the next AD hire the next coach” theory would seem legitimate.
Firing Walters without a replacement doesn’t do any good. Of course Bobo could have something set up already and just be waiting for the season to end. We too often are only looking inward and not considering the dynamics going on outside our program that might impact all this.

I wrote him after the Oregon game to check out Bronco Mendenhall

And at the end of the day, it Bobo's job to go find a competent football coach. This shit of nobody wants the job, is getting old!!
If you dangled 6 mil in front of some G5 guys they’d take it.

If you dangled 8-10mil in front of Klieman and Campbell types they’d take it.

We shouldn’t be, but we are too cheap to do that. Seems like we do t really want to part ways with the loser we do have.

Can’t help those who aren’t willing to help themselves.

Disagree.
What does keeping him do?
Firing him sends a message to the fanbase that you care.
Whether Walters coaches against iu won't matter. Make a change, see what happens. Nothing to lose.
Walters will walk away a wealthy man and eventually get another coordinator gig somewhere.

Agree 100%! It's all about the money, and money isn't a problem for Purdue. That's a weak excuse the apologist like to us.

If iu is willing to commit $9M a year to a HC, then Purdue should easily be north of that.

I am wondering if Purdue has gotten any pressure from the B1G to replace this mess. The networks can’t be happy with this “entertainment “.

Purdue probably cannot afford to fire Walters, but it would be great if they could demote him and shame him into leaving. I have no idea if his contract allows him to keep his title but be demoted to some menial tasks within the program, but it's obvious this program will be a Big 10 cellar dweller as long as he's in charge!

We most certainly can.
Agree. It’s crazy talk that we won’t or wouldn’t. I’ve heard that gamedays are a $15mil per home game winfall for the AD when you factor in tickets, parking, concessions, etc.

Multiply that by 7 and that’s over $100mil before you get the first cent of a TV payout. That’s over $170mil you stand to make a year with a full RA. How much of that $100mil do we miss out on if we keep Walters? I’d imagine it’s far more than the cost of his buyout.

And I think his buyout is over multiple years and if so, it's not even an upfront hit.

Fire him.. and back a dump truck full of money to a GOOD coach that can go buy players since that is the world we live in now.

Lack of player talent means you lose the close games, lack of coaching talent means you never stand a chance.
Gotta have some talent to coach. This roster is pretty limited. I’m not implying the coaching is good by no means, but everything needs to be upgraded.

Whaddya know, look at all these people agreeing both the talent level and monetary commitment is too low to be successful.

We came into the season expecting, based on a normal progression trend for a college athlete-

Outstanding tight end play
A serviceable qb
A star running back, or 2
An experienced Offensive Line
And upgrades at wide receiver (this was the weakness the coaches went to fill in the portal)

On defense we had a lot of questions, but an all American free safety leading the way.

Honest a lot of coaches have won a lot more with a lot less.

Not sure I agree with better wide receivers, or a star running back. I see a defensive line getting abused week after week, and linebackers being almost non existent.

MONEY IS NOT THE PROBLEM!!!
Purdue can afford to do anything it wants.
Again, iu, one of the worst programs in NCAA history just committed $9M a year to a football coach.

I don’t think th d line is that horrible, but the LBs are. Painfully slow.
