OT!! - IU STINKS!!!!

No I do. But he will be heavily encouraged to leave after this year.

You shredding your team for losing by almost 30 (and almost 40 at one point)? Or was that just you tryin to troll this forum after Purdue lost to a top 10 team on the road?
This team was trash yesterday. And that might be an insult to trash. But it's par for the course under Woodson.

Memphis drops Uconn

on a side bar, Creighton has lost 3 in a row
That's alright. Arkansas fell completely apart last year after lofty preseason expectations that included beating Purdue in a scrimmage.

More seriously, though, I don't read too much into any of it at this point. There's A LOT of basketball to be played between now and March. Purdue will no doubt hit a rough patch or two along the way.

Don’t think Rutgers will play that way this year. Harper and Bailey are too vital to their success and they can’t be fouling like in the past. Their bench has 6 points out of 90 last night…👀👀

Bailey and Harper will have to do that every night, and while they very well could, one would assume they are going to hit some sort of wall in mid January.

Harper is very good and so is Bailey, but Bailey takes a lot of iso shots that are very tough and he makes some but it stalls the offense. Harper needs to touch the ball on every possession if they want to have a shot at winning each night

Could be right due to the short bench. But I noticed their last two R opponents shot over 33 FTs. Perhaps that was just good offense forcing the issue? Time will tell.

Another sign DEI is dead

Ever had gas station sushi? In the words of Joe Biden....."Don't"
The Four Pillars of the Biden Administration:

1. Transgenders - If a man has Frankenstein surgery on his genitals, he becomes a woman.
2. Bidenomics – If the price of gasoline goes up, the President has no control over the price of gas. If the price of gasoline goes down, the President did it.
3. Border Security - Invite illegal immigrants to walk into our country. Feed them, shelter them, kissy-huggy them.
4. DEI – Judge them by the color of their skin rather than the content of their character.

An analogy that fits...

A racing car in the Indy Five Hundred with a Purdue Football logo hits the wall and is totaled. Upon post crash analysis the findings were: (1) the driver was inexperienced and this was his first time in a big race as the chief driver; ((2) the engine was sputtering when accelerating as a result of a faulty fuel injector; (3) the steering was loose and the driver lost control in the turns; (4) the traction was lacking because the differential was slipping particularly when getting out of the turns; (4) when in the turns the brakes were giving out and the driver was losing control; (5) the electronics were not working properly as there was little coordination between the steering, braking, engine acceleration, and guidance in the turns. It was apparent that pit crew was not providing proper maintenance and the inventory of parts available were lacking.
The pit boss has to make a decision to make a recommendation to the owner as to whether to keep the driver as he had great potential, completely replace all operating systems, straighten out the frame, hire a new pit crew or pay-up to buy an existing race car with a proven driver with a successful track record and his pit crew that was working well with the driver. The owner, on the other hand, was wondering what the attendance will be and whether some of the more well healed customers will spring for suites and desired seating locations.
We will know what the pit boss recommends in a couple of days. The future of Purdue football will be decided in the next week. I know what decision I would make, how about you? Norm

That would displease me immensely. NOT because he is a good coach, but because of the nasty D his teams play. That and the piss poor officiating, disrupts the flow of offensive play allowing too many fouls. And even if the officiating is good, it disrupts the game for increased foul shooting. Bottom line just makes the game less watchable.

We already have to play Rutgers and in the past WIsc who make the games unwatchable. Adding another with Shaka teams would be unfortunate for the viewer.
with all due respect, that was very much Purdue's defensive philosophy for a long time. Hook, hold, bump, hand check, etc,. force the refs to call it.

OT!! - IU STINKS!!!!

As a Purdue fan, I hope he stays at IU forever. He deserves it. He's a legend.
He gone. Not sure he makes it to New Year’s.

It’s easier to do than it used to be—Woodson got his four year chance, Sisley committed to IU despite Woodson, not because of him, and with the portal rebuilding is so much easier (like Louisville and Michigan have done).

Purdue at Oregon Volleyball

Purdue managed a reverse sweep of #13 Oregon on the road. Down 0-2, they squeezed out 2 point wins in each of the last 3 sets. Scores were 19-25, 22-25, 29-27, 25-23 and 15-13. Match ended on a hit by Oregon that barely landed out of bounds.
It was a thrilling game. At the break, down 0-2, I just about threw the towel in and went to bed. So glad I did not. The last three sets were incredibly exciting with the lead steadily changing and, obviously, many ties. Almost everyone contributed.

If I do say so, I thought the commentators were decidedly pro-Oregon and they could hardly believe that the Boilers had the talent to come back. But maybe that was just me.

OT!! - IU STINKS!!!!

We got 2 for next year…save one for him
And a transfer!

I would assume if IU finishes less than top 3 in B1g and don’t make the second weekend, Woodson will “step down”. Then IU will have to start all over to build another team. Sisley probably de-commits, along with rice, Carlyle, mgbako, Tucker and Reneau all transferring out.

Louisville’s backcourt gave IU’s supposed “best backcourt in the B1G”, nightmares. Couldn’t imagine what Marquette or Houston would do to IUs backcourt…probably just make them quit basketball all together.
Certainly agree that another awful season, Woodson steps away instead of being fired. His relationship with Buckner and the admin will make it hard to fire him unless there is a scandal that breaks forcing them.

I think Mgbako is gone regardless because he will try the draft. Not sure about the rest of the team.

Interesting game against Gonzaga - before this tourney, people noted they needed to win out in Atlantis because their non-con is so weak. Now they luck into playing Gonzaga which could be their highest ranked non-con game. If this isn’t a close game, it will be an uphill battle the rest of the way to get the points for the tourney.
