Shaka

That would displease me immensely. NOT because he is a good coach, but because of the nasty D his teams play. That and the piss poor officiating, disrupts the flow of offensive play allowing too many fouls. And even if the officiating is good, it disrupts the game for increased foul shooting. Bottom line just makes the game less watchable.

We already have to play Rutgers and in the past WIsc who make the games unwatchable. Adding another with Shaka teams would be unfortunate for the viewer.
Don’t think Rutgers will play that way this year. Harper and Bailey are too vital to their success and they can’t be fouling like in the past. Their bench has 6 points out of 90 last night…👀👀

Bailey and Harper will have to do that every night, and while they very well could, one would assume they are going to hit some sort of wall in mid January.

Harper is very good and so is Bailey, but Bailey takes a lot of iso shots that are very tough and he makes some but it stalls the offense. Harper needs to touch the ball on every possession if they want to have a shot at winning each night

with all due respect, that was very much Purdue's defensive philosophy for a long time. Hook, hold, bump, hand check, etc,. force the refs to call it.

Could be right due to the short bench. But I noticed their last two R opponents shot over 33 FTs. Perhaps that was just good offense forcing the issue? Time will tell.
