The December 5

Not make or break but some tough games coming up over the next 5.

At PSU: always hard on the road and for the opener
Maryland: jury is still out
Texas A&M: “home” game and they are tough/physical team. Another good test.
At Auburn: potential away game against the #1 team in the country
Toledo: not really a slouch team.

I can see us winning 3 or 4 at most. Would be shocked if we win 4 and even more shocked if we went 5-0.

I do hope the young guys (Harris, Cox, Burgess) can get some minutes and put together some consistent scoring. Need them to be ready come B1G season.

What about Pat Fitzgerald?

This is what I've heard. I'm assuming Northwestern settles with him. No way Northwestern wants this to get to discovery, depositions and trial. Northwestern University is not innocent in this matter. When I say matter I mean Fitzgerald -v Northwestern University.

Keep in mind the case has been consolidated. The players matter is within the Fitzgerald matter.

We'll all find out soon enough. Unlike some on here that apparently already know the outcome, and risk piercing the immunity dome with wild accusations prior to any facts being presented. Not something anyone with a net worth or brains would do I suspect.
The allegations are disgusting.

So are they true…or was he clueless about what was going on in his program that he’s ultimately in charge of?

Either way…not a person who needs to be anywhere close to young men ever again.

What about Pat Fitzgerald?

I'm not quite sure what you typed here. I don't have any facts about alleged sexual abuse. You seem like a guy that operates at a high level. Why don't you directly ask him next time you see him?
So why did he get fired then?

Pretty gross that people entrusted him with their sons and he couldn’t lead them appropriately.

This dude needs to be all the way away from our program.

What about Pat Fitzgerald?

You are so misinformed!! Pat Fitzgerald is a first class guy. Would be a great leader of the program! Need to tally to high school and college coaches that know him. You will hear nothing but Respect and Admiration for this man!!!

Hazing that was borderline sexual assault.

No F’ing way I would want that guy around my 18-24 year old son.

Guy can coach but clearly something was awry there. If you’re allowing crap like that to go on (or have no knowledge of it) you’re not a leader of men. We already kicked one bad leader to the curb…no need for another.

Volleyball Earns Hosting Spot

Got screwed again. AS did the BIG. Only one of Nebraska and Wisconsin can make the title game. What good is it to play in the best volleyball league in the country if beating up each other causes more harm than good for seeding purposes.
The SEC and ACC get just as many teams in the field (9) as the Big Ten. Really?

What about Pat Fitzgerald?

Fitz isn't going to coach anywhere until his lawsuit is settled. Also, he told someone I know he has no interest in coaching college football again. Since then I've heard differently. Chicago Catholic League rumors. He's been in Iowa City a lot. I've seen him around and spoken to him a bit. Obviously I'm not going to ask him direct questions.
Hows he feel about letting sexual abuse go on in his program?

You Must Conform ....It's 1984 in Canada

Town fined $10,000 for refusal to celebrate Gay Pride.....town officials must complete Orwellian Human Rights Training.

Even though a large segment of libs fawn over Canada......I can say another example of why I love the FREEDOMs we have left, here in the USA.
That's nothing. They are forcing Jordan Peterson into state sponsored thought police rehabilitation.

Why wouldn’t berg be around? Scholarships expand to 15…unless you think he transfer to a mid major?

Agree on TKR take.
Tough ask for Will to stick around if he doesn’t carve out a role this year. Maybe he would but it wouldn’t surprise me to see him try the portal. Not sure where he’d end up but I’d imagine he’d garner some interest.

he'll be following OMHR as his kid committed there

How attractive is the Purdue job right now?

This is our darkest hour. The two all-time worst losses ever in the same season, both to in-state rivals. We need to pour millions of dollars into finding a messiah who will take us to the Promised Land, someone who not only wins but knows how to work the portal and recruit.
Try like 6 all time worst losses in a season. Practically every game save Illinois.

How attractive is the Purdue job right now?

I'm trying to look at this objectively.

The TV revenue should provide for attractive salaries, even with the Walters buyout. On the other hand, can Bobinski line up enough NIL commitment to attract top candidates?

And how will candidates look at B1G membership? On the one hand, Purdue's a part of the wealthiest league in college sports. But, Purdue's also sitting at the very bottom of a tougher, expanded B1G. At first glance next year's schedule looks more manageable. Still, up-and-coming coaches might see more upward mobility in the ACC or BXII.

The fact that Indiana's coming off a historic season could also complicate the search, unless Cignetti does us all a solid and jumps at a bigger gig.
Depends on the willingness to spend money.

Brees as General Manager for 1-2 year assignment?

The new GM position for Luck at Stanford is very interesting. This could be the emerging model for managing the football business empire.

So with that…hire Drew as GM for a 1-2 year assignment. He could build the foundation of the role much like an NFL GM and then hire his replacement. Surely that has to have some appeal to Drew!

Drew helping the new HC solely on the on field product would be an advantage. Using Drew’s NFL organization knowledge could be great at shaping the Purdue FB business for the future. Especially in this market of escalating coaches and players salaries. Not to mention that Dew’s name would open a lot of donor doors immediately.

Something to consider.
I don't see any reason to believe he'd either be qualified or interested in that.
