I'd say he's already well past having the "yips." At this point, him shooting a 3 is practically a turnover with Purdue not being a great offensive rebounding team.
I am not a basketball expert so no idea if his mechanics are just off or if he just needs to see the ball go into the hoop to get some confidence.

I think he will be better served breaking down defenders and trying to get into the paint for a bucket close to the rim. If defenders are going to sag off because he isn't hitting, he has to find a way to create.

Are Purdue boosters ready to go big time and is Bo willing?

Colleges are just like the pros now in all sports except the NHL. Some owners are willing and able to pay millions past the cap and are doing so. It ruined the 49ers for years when the Super Bowl Welsch sp era was over but the bills due were not. The Dodgers, Yankees, Mets and a few other NFL teams do regularly. Colleges that want to, find a way to 1) pay BIG dollars for Coaches and their Staff and large NIL deals for the players and those that can't or won't will suffer most of the time!

The Sleepers Media guys suggested a head coach and I actually love it.

We don’t have to. There might be things these smaller school guys have that a more established coach doesn’t that ultimately leads them to be more successful.

We could throw all the money in the world at a Dan Mullen to come here but there are still red flags and things he just doesn’t do well that will be even tougher to overcome here at Purdue.

Have to be realistic that the top 20 established coaches aren’t going to come here either- no matter what we spend. We could match their salary, give assistants more $ but there would still be 97 other disadvantages they would have to overcome here vs an established SEC or major conferene school.

Sometimes you have to get the up and comer. We likely will have to go that route. There’s no shame in it, you e just got to move on quickly when it doesn’t work out.
Give me a no name coach who is knowledgeable, has a system and attracts players because he is a leader of men, that's the guy that I want....
I had a front row seat when BSU hired Rick Majerus as their basketball coach to take over a program that won only 7 games the year before.
He wasn't a big name but he checked all of the abilities that I mentioned above.
The rest is history....... I have a interesting recruiting story about Majerus that I could share if anyone has any interest....
the only guy from the MAC that slightly intrigues me is Albin as he has shown an upward trajectory at Ohio, but we got to go bigger

Liberty QB (Kaidon Salter) to Enter Transfer Portal

Liberty's #1 QB transferring. 5887 passing yards, 56 touchdowns, 17 interceptions, 2013 yards running.

More than anything, this tells me the coach, Jamie Chadwell, is moving on. I would think UNC would be his first choice but he is often listed as a possibility for Purdue also. Would be a nice 2 for 1 deal.

Looking like UCF...

Has anybody heard an update from CMP? We are probably at least 2 months away still, but I think it's feasible to believe that he could return this year.
I think it is feasible but why burn a year of eligibility for a couple of games? Use the injury to get stronger and refine your skillset then he can submit for a medical redshirt if necessary.

But to answer the question, I have not heard him say anything specifically about his recovery status.

Can’t tell Harris to stop shooting. Then we run into an Ethan Morton situation where he gets the yips/loses confidence. He was a decent shooter in HS and if he’s open, he should shoot it.

Why doesn't the University help support athletics financially?

If you look at the top universities in the US, most do not have strong athletic programs. So maybe having a strong athletic program hurts?
Top universities for what? That's pretty subjective. I'd argue that if you're graduating from any B10 school, you're getting a top level education. But there are plenty of people who waste their time getting a gender studies or some other worthless degree from top schools.
Once you've got a few years under you careerwise, where you went is more important from a name recognition and networking standpoint as opposed to the actual education you recieved .

Ok, now that it's done, who's hearing what about a hire?

Probably over analyzing this but Zyntreacs Otey, a 4 star DB said yesterday he was delaying his signing until February due to the coaching change. Dub just tweeted that Otey’s dad said he changed his mind and will sign as Boiler on Wednesday. Looking through his offers looks like a strong connection with Memphis…wondering if the Memphis guy is our next coach 🤔

He also has offers from Western Kentucky, Marshall, and Toledo which are all coaching possibilities as well. Outside of those he has offers from Tennessee, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Kentucky, UCONN, as well as others.
I think if that kind of info were leaking out about Memphis coach, it would spread very quickly.

Still want Silverfield, nice record, done w/ mostly 2 and 3 star guys, has some pro and OL coaching experience , upward trajectory in his record, and play physical brand of football

The December 5

No they really don't.
You may be here debating rankings in March, I won't.
Higher ranking doesn't give you squat.
Win the games (WHOEVER it is) and you win the tourney.
1st or 64th.
Either you are just trying to be argumentative for the fun of it, or you have no idea what seedings in March mean for your chances to win a national championship.

No idea why we have to do this every year, but there are always some on here that make statements like that. "doesn't matter what your seed is you just need to win em all" or some such nonsense.

31 of the 34 last champions were either a 1, 2 or 3 seed. Just google % of champions by seed line. But yeah, it doesn't matter what your seed is.......

CMP has mentioned numerous times how winning these big games in the pre-conference are great for the resume come march. Everyone here has heard him say it. But you can ignore that too if you want to.

One last one. The NCAA numbers on revenue and NIL.

I think this is how we potentially help turn the tide back to us. Allows us to funnel money through the school vs a donor base that we don’t have or is at least not energized for football giving.

Money and NIL is of growing importance but so is coaching, scheme and player development. Handle all of these facets there’s no reason we can’t be a 7-8-9 win team. And if we were, I think most all Purdue fans would be happy!

And someone needs to tell Harris to quit shooting 3s. Dude is at 15% right now. I think Dwight Howard could do that.

Purdue just isn't very deep this year but that starting lineup is very good. Painter played 8 last game. Harris played 15 minutes(should have probably been 5 with the extra 10 going to Colvin). First played 11 and Cox played 5. I'm sure Painter will have Harris and Cox playing better as the season goes on but seems clear the rotation is set. Smart move to get Berg out of the rotation.

Biden getting us into WW III before leaving office.

Bagram Bob on Nov. 20: "Lol. You can't keep an airbase halfway around the world in the middle of a hostile country. Lol."

Me in reply: "You can keep it by bombing the crap out of the local hostiles whenever they get overly hostile."

I didn't say it made sense or is a good idea (point to it if you think I did), but that it could be done. Your hero Joe Biden said we don't need the base because we have 'over the horizon' capability, which he promptly demonstrated by obliterating an innocent Afghan family of 7.

Is the purpose of your lol argument to show that it made sense to close the air base before our people and allies were out and the $7 billion of weapons/equipment moved or destroyed -- instead of being one of the most incompetent military decisions in our nation's history?

So we can keep the base if we're willing to have it be under constant threat of attack, aircraft that are resupplying it are shot down, and service members are dying in a country we already withdrew from after 20 years of war. I would think that reality would make "keeping it" unrealistic and unpopular. Lol. Ok. You don't think it's a good idea and it doesn't make sense but technically it could still be done. Do you often argue for policy that isn't a good idea and doesn't make sense? The answer is yes.........when you can't admit the truth but still want to win an argument.
