Okay cool. Playing on the road doesn't excuse getting beat down. That's still a bad loss in my eyes(the eyes who determine the Top 25). Alabama, Ole Miss and Maryland are good wins. NC State... To be seen. At the moment, NC State isn't a tourney team but who knows what happens in March.

Ohio State
Illiniois
Rutgers (Harper alone puts them up there)
Oregon
Penn St
Wisconsin

Not including UCLA because I haven't seen 1 minute of them.

Not having a 3rd consistent gaurd hurts Purdue. Neither Braden or Fletch have been consistent either and both have become less aggressive it seems. They are also average defenders.

If Colvin keeps improving and Cox or Harris hit stride then maybe Purdue can enter that conversation with above group.

UCLA has the Mack the Mack Truck who will terrorize us going to the hole with abandon. You will know him soon enough. He's a very good guard, not great, but against our interior D, he might look phenomenal.

I still like Smith as top 1st or 2nd team ALL B10. Loyer, bless his heart, D drags the pair down as pairing the two on D is a problem....Smith average, Loyer below average. Still love his deadly 3 pt shooting and his ability to draw fouls by being a floor mop....and is why CMP plays him.

If Daniel Jacobsen was healthy, there would be no need for Portal talk. Presses have impacted this team due to coaches planning to use the full shot clock most of the time. Without DJ, this teams ability to protect the paint is severely limited. With a healthy DJ, we have one of the best, most agile, shot blockers in the country. Furst, Heide, and TKR can man the 4. Colvin, Cox, and Harris are capable of being better guards than most. Let them gain experience this year and next year we have a legitimate chance of winning it all in Indianapolis! Trade instant gratification (top 5) for top 1...

Colvin, Cox, Harris, and Heide will continue to improve. Coaching staff needs to use Colvin and Heide more to break presses instead of allowing the other teams take away valuable clock time and tire Braden out. Most of the time we just pass the ball back to Braden and he breaks the press by dribbling through it. We need to punish teams that press us by moving the ball quickly upcourt and stealing baskets with Colvin, Heide, or TKR "hanging on rims".

The fact that we're down to only 8 undefeated teams in the country right now tells you a combination of 2 things: A) teams are playing tougher schedules these days, and B) there's a lot of parity out there.

I agree with BIPPUS33 in that the HC has to take responsibility for the good and the bad. I would have thought both the OC and DC would have been let go mid-season to make statement. While I can't confirm what Wolegib is true, I do feel there is some truth to it. It just felt the players, assistants/coordinators, and Walters were never on the same page.

It became clear to most of us that RW's inexperience left him exposed. Blend in the various allocations / distractions, recruits decommitting, and existing players entering the portal there was no way the job could be maintained. Had to be replaced to send new message to the world. Glad Purdue moved quickly so that Odom can get started right away.

It's not about the popular vote lol. Trump was winning in Democrat places while Republicans were losing in those same places. Look at Arizona. Kari Lake lost to a Democrat while Trump won the state. It happened in places in New York and Cali and all over the country. People were voting for Trump and on the same ticket, voting Democrat for Senate, Congress etc.
