I remember his time as sportscaster in Chicago on channel 5. Always liked him. RIP.
always enjoyed his workTruly great at his job, figured that he was ill last year when he didn’t do the dance, sad day for myself, part of my hoops life for many years.
Don’t even start on that BS concept. Every conference, including the mighty SEC, has one-or-two teams at the top and then a bunch of MID. IU played in a Power 4 conference and the only game that they lost all season was at tO$U (same team that seal-clubbed Tennessee) and was within seconds of being tied at halftime. Notre Dame is a good team. That’s why they were favored to win. If you can get past the “Indiana” on the uniform and honestly tell me that if, say, a Michigan/Iowa/Wisconsin-type had played the same schedule and had the #2 scoring margin in the nation at over 23pts, you wouldn’t think they deserved to be in the CFP, then Herbstreet may as well get his dream of an All-SEC tournament, irregardless of struggling SEC teams losing games they weren’t supposed to by big margins…Regardless of strength of schedule?
Little brother always desperate for acceptance.Indinia fans in this thread (well, on this entire forum really):

So we smoke shitty Purdue and who else?Yep, 2-10 seems about right for IU next season.
This year that would have made sense as it would have effectively eliminated the 4 blowout teams if we said 4 beat conf champs plus 4 at-larges.I've always felt 8 was the best.
Dinkins has withdrawn, that makes six official. I think less than 50 have withdrawn in all of D1 football and we have 6. I think the next closest is 3.I don’t know everything.
Tra’mar Harris
Jamari Payne
Ahrmad Branch
Nick Levy
Sterling Smith
I don’t know if all those guys will start. Branch is expected to complete and was the second fastest WR we had last year. Nick levy is our staring king snapper and when he saw we were hiring an elite ST coach he decided to stay. Harris and Payne were true freshmen and great recoveries. I don’t know anything about smith. Also Mockobee was expected to move on if Purdue didn’t keep Conard, so chalk that up to wait and see who the coach was but I didn’t count him since he didn’t officially enter the transfer portal. The other 5 did.
Again don’t let facts get in the way.
Correa has already withdrawnwouldn't mind Catalon S and Correa a 6'3 230 LB 3 star played at Bishop Gorman
And add bonus for bowl game wins....etcThat’s why NIL deals should be contracts strictly based off production and not potential.
Base pay + season accolades = NIL deal
wouldn't mind Catalon S and Correa a 6'3 230 LB 3 star played at Bishop GormanYes sorry Hudson Miller, lol. He will provide depth. I’m hoping we can also get mani Powell from UNLV.
I saw IUs other qb joined Jackson in the portal. If Jacob Bell signs you may be right that gives you 4 QBs, but 3 are freshmenYawn.
Yes sorry Hudson Miller, lol. He will provide depth. I’m hoping we can also get mani Powell from UNLV.Hudson? do you mean Miller ? he's not a BIG10 caliber LB
Hudson? do you mean Miller ? he's not a BIG10 caliber LBWe will only play 2 at any time just like last year. I think 6 seasoned LBs is fine. We got the two Arkansas LBs, Berglund, Davis, Hudson, and two freshmen. One more would be good but I also think we can convert some edge rushers or even some larger DBs. Maybe Trey Smith
I think we still lose at Penn state…but not as much. We just aren’t good with away conference games in December haha.Need more depth at the 5 but would probably be a 1 loss team if DJ were healthy. Let's not overreact to this year when we lost our top recruit late and our tallest player early in the season. With both on the roster, the biggest concern would have been getting minutes for player development.
2nd youngest in big ten this year…hope we can keep everyone together!100% agree. That and let CJ play more as I think he has a chance to come in to his own later on this year.
We're really young too .. yeah we have 3 that have been around a while, but only (a meaningful) 3. I've said it before I am okay (not that it matters) with taking lumps this year for what next season could be. Especially if DJ comes back with some added weight... We could go from not deep, to VERY deep in a single offseason.
Right now, we need all the receivers that we can get.Tall pass catchers are always at a premium. If they get a hand on it, they almost always catch it. We need ball-possession receivers.
That’s why NIL deals should be contracts strictly based off production and not potential.Wasn’t C. J. Smith one of the highest earners from NIL just to collect splinters and piss off others who actually played ?
Wow! Zach played Hockey and baseball too!! Who knew???? Next thing you know, we’ll be seeing posts telling us Coach Wooden was an all American guard at Purdue? And Joe Barry Carroll played center at Purdue and Big Dog had several sons.
Pardon the sarcasm. But this is about the millionth time I have read about Zach Edey being a former hockey player. I’ve seen it almost as many times as the misspelling of Indiana!
Give us a break. Every Purdue fan knows Edey was a former hockey and baseball player. Tell us something we don’t know!
How about the Grizzlies GM scouted Zach intensely for his last two years at Purdue and was going to draft him regardless of what his predraft rating was. He knew Zach would be a perfect fit. That’s a real scoop you won’t find in normal basketball circles!
The NCAA has already done such a bang up job on the college game with the well thought out NIL and Transfer Portal rules (tic), so why not pile on to the mess.I would hope we never see mid season transfers, that would flat out ruin the game. I can see a player doing it and being able to play mid season the following year, no way the same season.
