Doesn't sound like that's how Odom is built. From what he has said thus far anyway.
C. J. Smith and Green were highly regarded duds. Smith was a medical problem at Georgia and Purdue. I don’t see that changing. Green would never look for the ball when defending a receiver. Not sure why we would want them.
Whether he did or not, these players were not the type of players that hurt us leaving like Dillon and Klare.
I’d imagine they didn’t get the same $ offers they did before so are leaving.

They might have been told they can stay and have a scholarship, and nothing else.

Maybe so, but I doubt he showed them the door if they didn't want to stay and work.

Yes. Rumor is he wasn’t super motivated to play to start the year and seeing we weren’t great he shut it down a bit preemptively

Knowing the NIl landscape I assume these kids asked for MORE after laying the dud they did this year.
And Nyland Green. Guessing they didn’t like getting a pay cut.
That’s why NIL deals should be contracts strictly based off production and not potential.
Base pay + season accolades = NIL deal
And add bonus for bowl game wins....etc
The portal should only be open in the spring, it's killing bowl games, and h.s recruiting.
Yep! It’s unfortunate the academic season is the real reason why the portal is open during Christmas break. They make it way to easy to just pack up and leave half way through the academic year.
I get the kids wanting to leave if they are grad transfers or a coaching change is made but with no real rules in place when it comes to NIL or the portal you’re asking for problems at all schools.
