Indinia = Fraud & Coach Cig Got The Most Punchable Face In CFB

Lol all IU fans do when Purdue b-ball wins big ten : league is def down this year!

IU football did not belong and that’s OK.
Indiana did belong. Were Alabama and Ole Miss better and more more talented than Indiana and SMU? Yea probably. But neither took care of business when they needed to against bad teams. That isn't Indianas fault. That isn't SMUs fault. Alabama beats Oklahoma and they are in over SMU. Ole beats Kentucky and they'd have had a good shot at being in. Miami beats Syracuse and the same. None of them did.

WL/Campus Recommendations?

Longtime Purdue fan but I’ve never been to Mackey or to West Lafayette even. I’m considering grabbing some tickets off SeatGeek and taking my nephews (13/16) to the game against Toledo. Anything I should know before coming to town? Any parking or food recommendations? Thanks in advance and BTFU.
East End Grill is my favorite place to eat.

You can park up in the neighborhood near West Lafayette High School for free if you don’t mind a 10-12 minute walk. Or across the street from Mackey at one of the houses that charge $40-50 to park in their lot.

I blame it all on the Italians!

We had internment camps for the Italians, Japanese, and Germans during WWII. However, it was the Italians who protested against the TV show The Untouchables and the put down of the Mafia, and thus, I first heard the term Italian-American.

The biggest ethnic joke I heard daily was about the Japanese during the fifties and sixties. They took the insults in stride even though it was implied they were the stupidest people. When something broke, the joke was that it must have been made in Japan. In the late sixties, they were upgraded to have the mentality of apes. They could copy anything, but none of them had an original thought in their head. In the late seventies, when a Japanese man entered the room, the consensus was that he must be smart. Thirty years.

After the Civil War, blacks needed a hand because this was a despicable period in America. And many blacks were not educated. We should have taken the high road and congratulated every American for their hand in helping end slavery. Instead, we blamed the South, and unfortunately, Lincoln was assassinated.

Woodrow Wilson was a horrendous President who encouraged segregation and separated our military. I give Harry Truman a big thumbs up, even though his mouth should have been washed out with soap for how he referred to blacks. Some blacks in the fifties preferred the term negro or colored, but I love the phrase black is beautiful. Being black is beautiful and has some advantages, and every black should be proud to be black.

In the fifties, blacks were conservative, and their divorce rate was low, and church attendance was high. And as one previously posted, Congress unintentionally reversed all of this, giving extras to single-family households and the false impression that blacks cannot make it on their own.

I am confident Trump will change all of this B.S. IMO, we need to end the term diversity and embrace the term melting pot.

Purdue vs. Auburn: MASTER DISCUSSION THREAD

Have you seen it much the last two seasons? I haven't. At best there's an explosive drive off the fast break or to snag a rebound. What I haven't seen is breaking someone down off the dribble. Heck, I've seen Loyer do it much more often than those two and he's about five percent more athletic than I am.
No I haven’t and we don’t know if they can. I have a suspicion that they aren’t given the green light to do that since they aren’t the main focus of the offense. If we are going to be successful, (and they actually are able to) they need to add it and quick.

2024-25 Purdue Transfer THREAD

Yes I forgot those. Plus I forgot to add the best player…the punter!
Dang didn’t see Rigby entered until now. If I was to guess the guys that enter from now on most likely won’t be back after having the coach talk I am sure.
From what it sounds like there won’t be “the coach talk.” Odom seems like he genuinely wants to keep as many players as possible. Problem is some guys just don’t want to compete. Davila and Browne both seemed interested in staying but then bolted within 24 hours of odom saying he wanted to keep them because he needed 2-3 really good QBs and had a transfer QB on campus and a commitment. I suspect the same with Rigby. I think we still have a lot of talent at WR still.

Purdue 87 ISU 68

Nice to see some outside shots fall the last two games. Hope they can keep it up.

11 turnovers today after 25 the last game.

27 assists on 35 made FG's....that would be nice to see more often.

Amiyah Reynolds with career high 6 assists. Jordyn Poole with a couple of real nice no look assists.

I hope Kendall Puryear is ok....that was a nasty looking ankle turn.

1. What was their SOS before playing OSU? Serious question. I think playing OSU saved them from having a very high/low SOS. But I could be wrong.

I'm not going to argue with you about if they should have been in the playoffs. But if you don't think how they and SMU played today won't affect the committee going forward, I think you're pretty naive. Same scenario next year and Alabama, South Carolina or others will be in there.

As I said, I think IU schedules exactly like a team in their position should. Make it as easy as you can to make a bowl every year. Don't challenge yourself early, just get 3 for sure wins and then hope for the best in conference. They had a very nice year and if I were an IU fan I would be thrilled. I think if you can take off your crimson glasses you would agree they were outclassed and didn't belong in that game. But if not, that's ok no big deal.
That's how most teams do it. Indiana plays 9 conference games. It doesn't make any sense to essentially add a 10th. SEC teams play 8. So a team like Alabama played Western Kentucky, South Florida, Wisconsin and then Mercer in the middle of November. It doesn't make any sense for any B1G team to schedule a 10th game.

update on portal

'Selective' does not apply to football players and legacies.

Further, selectiveness is not a measure of quality. Look at the NU website to see all the worthless or even frivolous majors that are offered.
Selective applies to all Northwestern students. Your personal opinion of the worth or lack thereof of majors at Northwestern has no influence on the academic status of Northwestern University. It does however speak volumes as to your lack of intelligence. Northwestern is considered a top ten university (because of their selectivity and rigor) while Purdue is considered a top 50 institution.

Colvin and Heide yikes

When sets breakdown. You need a PG that can dribble drive or create his own shot against tough teams.....ours does not have that ability. He's good when sets can be executed.
I suspect that Braden is about to go on a run where he looks all world again. Hopefully some other guys step up and this team gets well over the next six games.
