Wisconsin at Purdue: MASTER DISCUSSION THREAD

Some of that is true, but we even seen this with ZE.

They got 72 points from. 6'4"-6'5" guards. That just isn't rim protection. Oh yeah. Look at the 3's today that they made. That's not our bigs guarding them.
I know what your sayin, but we don't get any blocks any, hell Happy Gilmore had 2 on Smith alone. Next yr w/ the 15 I could see adding another big esp if Berg hits the road

Does anyone know if the refs ever review game films?

do you want good refs or favorable one sided refs ? every time i read this, i keep seeing purdue posters pointing fingers at bad refs as the reason they lost. the refs are not any better or worse than they were for the last 30 years. it's time for Purdue fans to start realizing and accepting what refs call and start game planning accordingly. you knewwho the refs would be and the type of game they would call before the game started. In baseball, tony Gwynn and wade boggs studied the umpires. they knew the strike zone the umpire would establish and the played accordingly. that's why they wereso successful.

complaining about the refs make you sound like sour grapes.
Sour grapes for me today. This was the worst officiated game against Purdue all season. Purdue was called for 21 fouls and several were phantom calls. I saw the replays and just didn’t see any contact or very minimal on a few.

Tired on defense with a poorly officiated game was their downfall today.

Does CMP......

hope, pray, gamble on role players and supporting cast (the bench) to show up next season so Smith, Loyer, and TKR can have a great season with FF potential? Or, does he say "screw it, I'm going to the portal for 1 or 2 guys because these 3 seniors deserve it and I dont want to waste their final year on a gamble".
It's interesting because when asked about the lack of bench scoring his response has been pretty nonplussed and saying well you want your best players taking most of the shots.

He needs more talent on this team. There's one or two guys out there that won't mess up team chemistry and can give you a little burst here or there so the big three can have an off day now and then.

And we have absolutely no rim protector.....Do you think Loyer or any other guard can stop a guard who drives? Drives to the rim where there is no one ? TKR is not a defensive player... And other that Jacobson , who is on this roster? We need a banger inside

Wisconsin at Purdue: MASTER DISCUSSION THREAD

Tough coupe games, we have a good team just not really good since 2/3 guys are typically the main show.

I think we were always way over ranked and the first half of conf schedule was easier than backhalf

Hopefully can steal a couple tough ones down the stretch and surprise in conf champ and bth tournaments and the a few from the other 7 emerge, Colvin had good 3s, so there that

Going into next year need another 4/5 and West, DJ, will improve depth

Purdue is based on depth and Cam/Miles/Cox/Harris will come out of this year as big time depth next year as Jr and soph

Colvin played some solid defense on Tonje in the later stages, but Purdue was already in too big of a hole. Credit Wisconsin, they outplayed Purdue and really brought the fight today.
told you guys about this team earlier, some here said they'll fade at the end of year, it's not the usual Wisky team, more uptempo this yr
