Trump’s real closing message: his kkklan rally at MSG

I am sorry I hurt your feelings about lawyers. Did you have dreams of being one someday and it didn't work out?

Maybe you should have tried to game the system like this mediocre student from a struggling middle class family headed by two college professors.

Was Bush the Younger qualified to get into Yale?

Burgess

I’m not saying give him more time. Paint and his staff know what we have in berg already. And they believe based on full body of work and their experience he is part of their best 5 lineup. The team plays best when he is on the floor. It does not even mean he is the best player at the 5 position. It might be as simple as on offense he allows TKR and Braden the best opportunity to score with screens, blocking out, bing in right position to allow those guys to create their shots. And on defense he’s in best position where he can be one-on-one with his defender and the others have confidence they can do their job and not have to sag off their guy or uncertainty on when to switch or run through screens if they are all in sync. Part of it will get better with time as the freshmen learn the system and are more aligned with their teammates. Some of it is basketball IQ. But at the 5 spot a lot of it is strength especially in the big ten. Skill and energy are factors that DJ and Burgess have on Berg respectively for sure but if you have a leg up on someone and don’t make the four guys around you reach their potential it is one step forward, four steps backward.
He's also shown a pretty nice jumper in practice and filmed workouts, we haven't seen any of that yet. Will make a big difference if he can shoot a free throw range shot and be effective.

Wow. Even for you that is an extremely unhinged, bitter post. A ‘Riveting worst hits’ compilation.

It’s got name calling, a passive-aggressive question, worked up about irrelevance, asking one poster to answer for someone else, a little dash of “President of Harvard Law Review is an affirmative action appointment” racism.

Damn. That is the post of a bitter, unhinged guy. No wonder the Trump dystopian hellscape stuff appeals to you.

Burgess

He was the best defensively without a doubt, and that came from painter. I also thought he was the best at blocking out and brought a lot of energy. This is what we all saw in thr scrimmage too.

DJ was so lost out there. If I put blame (at least 50% of it at least) in busted coverage scoring by creighton I would assign 6 pts to berg, 14 to DJ, 4 to Furst, and 0 to burgess. I might have missed some plays or felt like someone else deserved more fault on some.
DJs defensive blockouts were ugly. Unfortunately he’s got a long way to go.

Also hard to quantify is a gold old fashioned screen. You don’t get an assist but it’s just as effective. Berg had a couple. He also had some that could have been called for moving screens.

Painter said it has to make sense for both sides. If he does ultimately redshirt I will recognize it was also Burgess decision, just like with TKR.
I think Burg did get one foul on a moving screen, but as noted, at least he was trying to get it done.

Tyrone Tracy Jr

And that was with a healthy Devin singletary. Clearly not just their lead back but had 20 of their 22 rushes by a RB. Unfortunately it sounds like he’s going into concussion protocol.
He got really beaten up in that game. Came out in the first half and was deemed "questionable to return," which in-game usually leans more to him being done. Came back out and ran hard again. A couple of times looked like he was completely exhausted and came out (different than AR). Then he got landed on hard again. Looked really woozy but I didn't think the head was involved. I could be wrong and I haven't seen any reports this morning.

Yeh, Trump says some stupid, cringe worthy sh*t, no arguing that. But, he proved himself with 4 very successful years in office as POTUS. Compare that with Harris who has said she wouldn't really do anything different than what Biden has done, and that's concerning.
But, to your point about black women. I could care less that she's black. I feel the same way about Harris as I do about Gretchen Whitmer, Nancy Pelosi and Elizabeth Warren.

And I wanted Nikki Haley (a woman of color) to be the Republican nominee.......

So, I know in your eyes, all that matters is skin color, but that's because you see everything through a racial lens.
Why are you wasting your time with him? He doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground let alone who and what is racist. Racism to him can literally be anything as long as it serves his purpose.

According to your intellectually deficient criteria of the intelligence quotient, Chump should be in the same category as Harris, correct?

Underestimating and undervaluing blacks, black women in particular as been the MO of racists and right wingers for decades. Look at all of the black women that have been either appointed to or considered for high positions and immediately the right winger racist go after their intelligence Just like they did Justice Ketanji Brown. Calling them DEI hires even though they are just as or more qualified as their counterparts. I don't like the grifter Sen. Tim Scott but I know that he is qualified for his job in the senate.

Fair and true about the comedian to a large extent, though that comedian’s track record is well known and they put him in there.

FWIW, they also put Rudy, Carlson, and others in there that said some really offensive stuff. It wasn’t the comedian that called the Vice President the Anti-Christ.
Kinda like Kamala calling Trump Hitler?

Trump’s real closing message: his kkklan rally at MSG

I did finally listen to some of the MSG rally and I will agree, whoever on the Trump team vetted and approved this speaker list, or at least the jokes/deep cut hits, did a really poor job. There's no need to throw info out for the red meat crowd at this point. The fight is for the middle and undecided, and giving the left any ammunition they can use in the final week is a poorly thought out strategy.
However, I do think the Trump ads that have been running during NFL and the World Series, the ones showing Harris advocating for tax payer funded sex changes for prisoners and illegals, is extremely effective and is hitting home with males, especially black males (which is a group that continues to move away from Harris).
That was the most jacked up and racist rally I have ever seen since I’ve been following politics since the early 80s. That MSG rally was white supremacy at its highest. Which is what I’ve been saying about the Republican Party for the longest.

It’s not unusual this time of year for me to have a thought process about the rotation that doesn’t s align with Painter’s. For example, last year at this time I viewed Jones as a backup to Smith, coming off the bench. Typically, by Thanksgiving I come around to Painter’s position. From my limited knowledge right now, I tend to favor Burgess at the 5, but Coach Painter knows a lot more than I do and I am sure that there is a good reason why his minutes were limited against Creighton.

My gut says that Burgess has bought into the idea of redshirting and preserving his fifth year of eligibility (which I think is smart from the player’s perspective) and that Painter is trying to establish that he doesn’t need him this year.
I'm thinking the opposite. I think the fact that he did play against Creighton makes it more likely that he does not red-shirt. As opposed to Benter who didn't play at all. My feeling is that CMP wants as many bodies in the paint as possible. Makes minutes distribution difficult, but more options are good.

Burgess

Yeah for sure. I think we need to give him almost through the end of 2024 to see how he does/adjusts before really yelling for him to be out 😂

Most of the metrics you list are team metrics, not an individual player. Yes, a great player who is a significant impact player on a winning team will impact the team success, but like you said, it's hard to quantify. If it wasn't, then the highest paid player in every pro sport would be leading his team to championships consistently.
So, the risk is all up front with NIL. You pay big $ for a kid to come to a school and hope he has the impact you paid for and leads the team to the FF.
But individual metrics with few exceptions provide a quantifiable ROI u less they make the team better. Paint is really good at identifying players who will make his team under his system and approach better. If he had more NIL money he could potentially be getting his first choice and be that much better and getting a return on that investment.

Burgess

Agree I think the frustration towards berg has been a bit unfair. That was a tall task and I thought he did Ok. Paint seems to have confidence in him, he certainly wouldn’t start him. Heck 3 of his starters this year started as true freshmen if paint thought burgess or DJ was better he would start them.
Yeah for sure. I think we need to give him almost through the end of 2024 to see how he does/adjusts before really yelling for him to be out 😂

Ticket sales, jersey/merch sales, additional revenue from playing in NCAA, alumni support, branding, union room and food/beverage sales, bleed over into football. All financial success. The biggest is probably alumni support. It is hard to quantify but no different than a company paying more to the better candidate for a job or even spending money on marketing and business development. Hard to quantify But Purdue was reported to make $19m revenue on getting to FF so $3m-$4m would be a steal. I understand there is no guarantee. I also know paint isn’t going to recruit the type of players he doesn’t think will make the team better. I would offer UConn and Purdue are probably similar except UConn had a bigger edge with NIL and for sure would say it was a good investment.

As a “non-factor” Reneau has 21 pts on 8-12 fg, 1-1 3pt, 4-5 ft and 8 rebounds.

Both teams played their starters about 30 minutes. Estrella was coming off an injury and didn’t play much; Galloway and Tucker were out for IU.
I think with Reneau, it didn’t seem like it was THAT much improvement from last year, granted it was an exhibition game and first organized game of the year. Rice certainly made life easier for him and he could see his numbers increase because of that. But he also needs to stop trying to dribble outside on the perimeter cuz that’s going to cause issues if he continues to do that.

Michigan 500,000 more registrations than voters of eligible age.....what could possibly go wrong??

You. Always have been, always will be.
Wow. Burn.

Do you have a link that shows illegals are voting? Any evidence other than far right pundits telling you they are? Do you have interaction with illegals that are telling you they are voting?

These people want to work and stay underground. Showing up to vote is the last thing they're gonna do.

UTenn is the ‘anti-Creighton’.

Elite defense and crappy offense.
And I’d say that “elite defense” while good, hacks the hell out of players daring the refs to call every foul (knowing they won’t). And then getting mad when they do run into a game where they’re being called for all their fouls 😂 …very similar to northwestern last year vs Purdue

OT: league competition

I watched the game. It was the same horrible system. No motion on offense. Guards driving off screens and I think TN would have set a record on blocks. There must have been 20 blocks. Ballo clogged the lane. There were a lot of kick out 3s and it was awful except Mgbako. Rice can’t shoot but can drive but wasn’t as effective with ballo clogging or defenders meeting him at the basket with no perimeter threat. Carlyle was as effective as Heide and renau was a non-factor. They weren’t any better on defense. TN missed a lot of high percentage shots and clearly looked like the better team. It also seemed TN was trying out different players and matchups whereas indiana was playing like it was the final four. JP Estrella hardly played and Cade Phillips played a lot and struggled.

Man, are you programmed.....You think that because Harris is a little black, that's why I don't think she's intelligent? You don't think it might have something to do with her word-salad speaking and inability to put together cogent thoughts?
