Matt if you read the thread I’m your biggest fan. And if you ever have extra tickets……..
Yeahhhhh I’m 2 time Super Bowl winner, Roosevelt Colvin and I’m posting here 🤦♂️You can take the word hate and shove it up your anal canal. Never suggested Waddell should play over him, another of your falsehoods. I almost think you're his dad the way you defend his inability to play at this level. Berg plays a different position, so he isn't tanking minutes from Myles. And there's a reason he's the fourth or fifth option...watch Smith or Loyer when Myles is on the floor...they don't even attempt to get him the ball because THEY KNOW he's probably going to be a wasted option.
That one example I gave you is just one of many he's screwed up and you know it. If you're his dad I can see your support for the kid. If not, then you aren't seeing the same game as I am. And if you are his dad, then you have to know he's not producing nearly enough.
As one who coached many years, I do understand players who do and do not get it and I'm sure there's some raw talent with Myles, but that's the problem...he's raw because he hasn't come close to adapting to a game that faster, stronger, bigger, and a lot better this his HS career. He has no consistency in his game. PERIOD!
And as I've posted many times for you, I wish the kid no ill will and would be thrilled...absolutely thrilled if one day he does get it and proves you right and me wrong. I'd take 12 from him every game and congratulate CMP for sticking with him. My guess if he doesn't improve drastically this year, he won't' be at Mackey next year or he'll be sitting toward the end of the bench. CMP isn't going to keep giving him chances that Myles keeps screwing up.
Again, take that hate bull and shove it sideways, barbed end first because it bears no truth whatsoever.
Oh, about that drawing up plays for him, plays are drawn up for Furst, Cox, and Harris, and even Heide. Why not Myles?
Wut? Do you understand how assists work?Sometimes I think Braden's high assist stats contribute to a lesser functioning offense. As you said, he's always in the action and I see other players standing in the corners not really certain where he's going to be or how to react to where he is. Which to me, leads to a lack of movement and other players not being involved in the offense...who should be.
Yes sir.High School ain't college. Colvin ain't gonna' be all world.
Oh, I get it...you're just being facetious😉
Photo albumsIf you were in that situation, what would be the first five things you pack if ordered to evacuate.
Family and pets not included.
Prayers for calm breezes and rain for the folks who are losing their homes.

You have hated him from day 1. He could average 50 and you wouldn’t like him cuz he doesn’t shoot 100% from the field.
I have no idea why you hate him so much. Not sure if he dunked on your kid in HS, took playing mins from him, stole his girl or just took his lunch money, but at least you’re consistent in your hate but it’s a tad ridiculous.
I don’t think he could be the best to ever do it, but I do see potential there. However, what you and others don’t seem to get is that he’s the 4th-5th option when he’s on the floor and no plays are run for him. Paint doesnt draw plays up for them to get the ball to score. It seems he is also told not to drive or look to be aggressive, as he has been quite timid to do those things. Him and Heide just look to pass to the big 3. His shot is off right now—in a slump, but he was off to quite the start to begin the year.
All good though.
Auburn buddy told me about him. Said they really liked him until he showed up. A bit lazy from what they say. Hoping a change or scenery makes that moot.Have you seen the Lindsey kid from Auburn?
He runs really well but his size and frame make him look like he is going to grow into a tackle. 6' 3" 295
Your thoughts?
How in the world does high assists lead to lack of movement and others not being in the action? The literal result of a player getting assists is him getting other players into the action.Sometimes I think Braden's high assist stats contribute to a lesser functioning offense. As you said, he's always in the action and I see other players standing in the corners not really certain where he's going to be or how to react to where he is. Fall back on Thomas when you get stuck. Again. There is a whole fundamental difference between what you state and what is. Also, this wasn't a Biden versus TRump scenario, but the dems were referenced. It is a fundamental difference that would be explained if you read a meaningful book in showing how two sides operate...as I've stated many times before. This book written in 2007 explains that...after many years of research. It shows the constrained versus the unconstrained vision and although everyone has a bit of both sides, the conservatives take on a constrained vision mostly and the liberals take on an unconstrained vision. Unaware of the ideology of both might seem confusing, but once you understand, it is clearer. Or read some reviews to get a feel...

Which was never proven. Not even close. I noticed none of you MAGA goose steppers posted this anywhere on the forum.Isn't that what he should be doing?
The only thing Biden used his power for was to make sure his family made a ton of $.
If I said it once, I've said it 1000 times, we gotta schedule it so Boilergold88 will bring his brood to the games.Listen I'm not paying for 6 to take my family to watch nobody's. I'd gladly pay a grand for ND or a big name school.
I'm not anti loyalty. I don't think you have to go to either extreme to be successful or "moral."I think the hard thing to accept is the fact that loyalty isn’t there anymore because of the NIL and transfer rules. And it’s ok. I for one have/had a hard time with that. If you want to win NOW it seems the best way to do it, is to bring i portal guys that can play. I was against it at first, but I’m with you now. If we can get guys who are better than players we have now, do it. I don’t think it’s paints way, but I think it’s potentially the best strategy for next year, unless obviously the freshman are actually really good.

Which to me, leads to a lack of movement and other players not being involved in the offense...who should be.In ALL statistical studies or modeling where there is any repeated measure on a variable in the model there will exist an error term...that is some difference between "values" being measured under what is declared under a certain condition. Many times that error is not only measurement error, but unknown variable or variables NOT measured. This is true for Braden...not all his value can be calculated due to only those metrics measured, such as grit, intelligent play, leadership, control of the game, being in the middle of the action continuously and
I hope smith is here stillAll they needed to do was ask Waddell to go to walk on status and cover the difference in NIL. MP and staff could have added a transfer had they wanted to. They opted to roll with the five freshmen and banking on development of Cam and Myles, in part because part of the goal of this year’s squad is development.
As many have stated, next year is all in. A lot of season left to go and the needs for next year might leave ok significantly different in March than they do today, but I agree with the general consensus that MP and staff need to 1) keep their key guys for next season and 2) go to the portal to get any piece of pieces needed to compete for a NC.
Less about loyalty, IMO, than recruiting guys who want to work and develop and then developing them. As you said, I don’t think that’s mutually exclusive to selectively playing in the portal.I think the hard thing to accept is the fact that loyalty isn’t there anymore because of the NIL and transfer rules. And it’s ok. I for one have/had a hard time with that. If you want to win NOW it seems the best way to do it, is to bring i portal guys that can play. I was against it at first, but I’m with you now. What misinformation/lies did I tell wole? All I did was quote you over and over. Are you saying you lie and spread misinformation?
Listen I'm not paying for 6 to take my family to watch nobody's. I'd gladly pay a grand for ND or a big name school.Yes because play an easier schedule must mean play a high school team.

We were oversigned and needed to do something if Catchings didn't bail.

Nice bump! 👆 Here's the reality; when someone posts off-topic insults I have responded to get this Indiana Football thread back on topic!
The topic is - did Indiana's 11-1 regular season merit inclusion in the College Football Playoffs?
Here's the latest update as a way of re-directing the thread from off-topic bumps back to its on-topic substance: After last night, I can factually state that IU's 11-1 regular season was ended with a ten point loss to a Notre Dame team that will be playing for the national championship. In fact, if OSU beats Texas, IU's only two losses will be to the two teams in the national championship game!
They got SMOKED by them. You are off topic. Let’s keep analyzing IU Football’s season please.
They only lost two; both on the road and to the two teams in this year’s National Championship game.
They beat both teams from last year’s National Championship game.
That is completely CFP worthy.
What misinformation/lies did I tell wole? All I did was quote you over and over. Are you saying you lie and spread misinformation? It wasn’t me! Quit with the name calling, bullying and misinformation and lies! Just ask Duane!
Show me one post I authored this year stating that Painter should have recruited someone this year from the portal. And while you’re at it, name the player from the portal that I suggested painter recruit.
And after that, I demand an apology. And get off my back!

I don’t think it’s paints way, but I think it’s potentially the best strategy for next year, unless obviously the freshman are actually really good.Octeus and Jones were good additions. Carter was meh. Jenkins was meh+. But that was pretty portal and open transfer rules for the most part. The talent level then was thinner. It's a lot easier to get a talented player to transfer now. I don't believe that every last one of them can't possibly fit here or help this team. We have great younger players but none of them are SO amazing that we can't possibly add in another player
The next two seasons are going to be critical. Next year three senior starters with a real chance at a run with just a little additional help. The year after, we lose three senior starters and might need a bridge player while the remaining players level up. It's a thin line between continual top 10 excellence and not, so yeah I think just relying on recruits and nothing else in the age of NIL is unnecessarily walking a tight rope.
The fact you only have one example shows how much you don’t like him. And then to suggest berg and Waddell get mins over him just shows you have no idea what you’re talking about. One in particular where he was attempting to guard someone on the high post and the Rutger player drove by him for a clean and easy layup. I know you love him, I know you think he's going to be one of the best ever in black and gold, but I don't see anything in his demeanor that allows me to think he's even close to playing any part of the game well.
We'll just have to agree to disagree until when he finally earns his keep.
And again, I can only hope that he proves me wrong but right now Cox, Burgess, Heide, and Harris are better and more productive. Colvin is shooting 41% overall, 31% from 3, and 61% from the free throw line. He has more turnovers than assists. The only positive stat is that he's averaging one steal per game, and he's gotten some boards that's helped.
Sorry, but I just don't share your enthusiasm for the young man, and he's had a lot of chances to prove us wrong. I'd take Cox or Harris in the lineup all day over him.
