Waited so I didn't fall off the cliff. Not athletic

I would argue that Painter has assembled a very balanced roster. However he is only choosing to play certain guys and choosing to use those certain guys in a very limited way (shooting 3’s or Haas post-up’s), and therefore it makes our roster appear unbalanced.

Meanwhile we have Nojel, Wheeler, Ewing, Taylor and Haarms sitting and watching....and I would bet that those 5 could beat our starters 50% of the time if you rolled the ball out and played a pickup game. Our starters would get dominated on the boards and in the paint by our 2nd string.
I think they all can help this team win

I would take that bet (yes I understand it isn't possible to find the outcome). Our seniors are definitely our best players. Next year will be a struggle for us.

This is a fair point. I say pull the redshirt on Wheeler and if we are going to potentially lose these types of games to Western Kentucky, let's get Nojel more experience. I think Nojel will be very good once he gets more experience. He has a live body to defend and good handles/passing. He will also likely help close the gap in our rebounding.

I think we agree with only nuanced differences. I wholeheartedly think we can land a very good coach. I also believe that our new leadership will make that happen. I expect Painter is on a hot seat. Rightfully so. He's earned it as long as he's been here. Let's be honest...he hasn't been consistently good. Even the peaks aren't amazing in his rollercoaster time here. But, the valleys are pretty ugly. I'm over it and I've had it with the "next year" or insert player that will be great when he's here.

I hope you are right (we can land a very good coach).

Our seniors are our best shooters. I don't agree they are our most talented players. Nojel, Carsen, Wheeler and Haarms are the ones gifted enough both skill wise and athletic/size wise that would have a chance at the NBA if they put in the work.
Mathias, Cline, Vince, PJ, Eifert, Haas just aren't athletic enough which hinders them as players and is why we can't rebound.

Next years team is going to be better even though we will be young because we will have shooters, size, length and athleticism (that actually sees the court)..... This years team only has shooters and the length is negated by lack of athleticism and using Vince on the perimiter.

Exactly. I think the best thing that could happen to this team is losing these games and showing Painter what the team is lacking. It's just a matter of Painter having the balls to change some things up and perhaps play a little differently now that it's obvious that we can get beat by lesser teams if we don't hit enough 3's. It's not like Haas didn't play well enough to win last night. I doubt Painter changes anything however.
