The IU trolls get a luxury here that their pigsty boards don't afford visitors there. If Purdue fans posted crap like IU fans do on here, they'd be banned for life by the fascist moderators on there.

@td75 you should start a thread about this there. “Hey why do we get to argue and debate there but they don’t here?”

Lol dude the only starting shit is you. And that’s what it is.. people who like to start shit but who’ve never challenged Brian not subject to rules that others claim exist. There are no rules here. There are towel snapping knucklegaters and then those subject to the rules ...

The mods are really something to be proud of by the way. Some guy is on here spewing hate speech toward gays for 9 hours straight before his threads are taken down

Right.

That's why, with every post you continue to demonstrate why you got banned so many times.

Dude read our exchange. I posted a post to an IU fan.. you replied with two posts where, to an unbiased reader, you sound like a miserable a-hole and now you’re going on.. as though if you throw it on me then I’m a bad guy. I don’t care. I like Purdue football. I’ll always post here. Banned? It takes five minutes to cancel join again and resubscribe. You seem to care a lot more than I do. Join gr8, guru and a few others and obsess over other dudes on the Internet...

Of course you would say that!!! The kid is a STUD, probably one of the very, very best to EVER come out of this state and you figure out a way to diminish him. Now if he were coming to Purdue, he'd be a mythical 6*, wouldn't he.
One of the best to ever come out of the state of Indiana? Kid wouldn't even sniff the top 100.

Maybe Sampson knew King was our #1 priority. Weve spent a lot of time recruiting king lately.

We’d drop the other back for James. IU got a kid we’d happily take. To act to the contrary is the same as us having seasons they’d give a nut for and them calling us a middle of the road big ten team

This. It is even possible king already told or staff he was committing. To all we know Purdue may have already made it clear his offer was off the table.

Lol. James announces for IU, and shortly thereafter King announces that he is ready to announce. Use common sense here guys.

I'm assuming King knew this whole time James was going to decommit from OSU?? Doubt it! It can be played out both ways.

Who suggested that? King doesn't need to know anything about James.

Personally, I don't think the two are connected at all- James commited to IU, King is (likely) committing to PU, both teams are getting good backs.

But people here seem to think they are connected and IF you believe that is the case, it's much more plausible that PU was holding open a spot for James then moved on to King when James went to IU, than it is that King told PU he was committing, PU calls up James who is already committed to OSU to tell him their offer is no longer valid (?), that phone call somehow triggers James to decommit from OSU and flip to IU (which is also being the result of him getting pushed out of the OSU class as SDBoiler keeps telling us with absolute zero evidence), and then a few days later King announces he is ready to announce his commitment that he already locked in a couple days prior.

I heard that James didn't like the fact that OSU was still recruiting a RB for the 2019 class. OSU doesn't care what a recruit necessarily likes. They over recruit every year. IU got a good back but let's be honest OSU isn't pissed about anything. They move on.....

OSU is in on 2 other RBs that are more highly rated than

King was supposed to visit for the BC game and it was thought he may commit then, nearly 4 weeks ago but couldn'tmake it due to inclement weather. I would tend to agree the 2 backs are unrelated in their commitments.

I would rather have James, if nothing else than for optics.

@Hausta01 and @boiler2288 yea I am not sure why the PU staff would have NOT moved on while he was committed to OSU but decided to move on when he committed to IU. If anything you'd think the other way around.

Especially if they would have taken King a few weeks ago then seems fairly certain the two are unrelated.

I'd still like to bring in Robinson.

Of king and James, can you fill me in... which is the better pass catcher? Which is the better pass blocker? Which is the one who is more likely to power through a line on 4th and 1 and actually make it? Which is faster? Which is the better third down back? Which is more likely to run out of bounds to avoid getting hit? Which is more likely to make the longer runs? Which one has the more elusive moves like Moore?

Rather than ask which player is better, which player is a better fit for our offense?

I would think Purdue is still talking to James and will all the way thru signing.

Dude, my follow up was a simple request for an explanation. Then you turned all jack@ss.

Don't be such a douche and you likely won't be banned so much.

Yeah, that was waaaaaaaaaaaaay over the top.

I can understand being excited about a top player, but hells bells.

One of the best to ever come out of IN was Rod Woodson, and SJ couldn't carry Rod's jock. Another great was Jeff George (even though he was a head case), and SJ will never be on the level of JG. Mark Herrmann, ditto. Those are some legendary IN HS FB players, and we're supposed to think SJ is on that level?

Uh... no.

This. One of the best ever in the state even though he’s averaging less than 6 yards a carry and not even playing in the best conference in the state (MIC). He’s a really good player but one of the best ever is laughable.

I once heard it said that recruiting doesn't really begin until a said player makes a verbal commitment.

Bottom line is none of these players are going to prevent JB from becoming a great coach at Purdue. DH hurt us by telling recruits he would retire after 4 years of coaching at Purdue and we should appreciate what we have.

Tom Allen played it smart by offering Nate as well. I'm sure that didn't hurt the decision by James.

He didn’t tell recruits that did he? No way lol

Right out of his mouth! Drue told me himself and I couldn't believe it myself. Drue's bags were packed to be with Jackie at Purdue. DH really screwed us over a good one!!

Didn’t he leave Purdue because of the ND offer?

No, he told me the red flag went up when he told him. DH to tell recruits that his plans were 4 and out is ridiculously crazy.

Drue Tranquill
Are you kidding me? I hated the Hazell hiring from the beginning. But this makes me hate him even more. He was one of the worst recruiters and this helps explain why. It was almost as if he wanted Purdue to fail. Almost as if he was still loyal to OSU.

I think an important fact you al are forgetting is our staff visited King last weekend. I assume he committed to the coach then so timing may have actually been that king committed before James recommitted.

Your follow up was more “who the hell are you” from some of you. You’re way more into this than I am

Then you misunderstood.

I don't claim to be "into" anything, but for someone not "into this", you sure seem to be.

Try this test. Next time you’re talking to your wife or Dad look at your phone and try to explain who I am and how flagrant my behavior gets. See the reaction you get or if you can stop yourself from laughing...

(None of this is real lol)

I've had that feeling about this entire thread! (It's too bizarre)

I’ve always said.. I could take 100 posters, introduce you to them in real life and if you didn’t know who was who and tried to guess, you’d probably get like 5 right lol

I've never been interested in that. Couldn't care less. To me that's as insignificant as the IU football team's first half performance against OSU.

I take each and every post for face value. (Unless, of course, from an IU troll.)

Silly you take both. Too many running backs is never a bad thing.

And Until today Hewitt was our most talented RB recruit since the 2015 class with Jones, Fuller, and Worship. I think we got two great ones. Wandale could come out of the backfield as well if we are lucky enough to land him.
