Here's what BOT and search committee chair Mike Berghoff had to say today about the search.

Obviously, Purdue is not going to out candidates, but here's some of what we've reported to this point, understanding it is very difficult for us to lock down absolutes. But this is what we're comfortable with.
We are certain Purdue has engaged Oliver Luck as a candidate for the position. We are not sure of the NCAA executive and former West Virginia athletic director's interest, but Purdue is interested in him.
We know Purdue reps have communicated with former Texas A&M A.D. Eric Hyman, who has a long history of making big football hires, from involvement in hiring Gary Patterson at TCU to Steve Spurrier at South Carolina to Kevin Sumlin at Texas A&M. But he's 65 years old. We're not sure he's a candidate, per se.
Former Purdue star and current San Francisco 49ers front-office presence Keena Turner is in play, we believe.
We do not have a clear picture on where presumed considerations Jim Shaus (Ohio U.) and Greg Christopher (Xavier) fit into things right now.
