I hear a lot of people wanting to go to 8. I think 16 would be a better true playoff. Each power 5 has two divisions, so that's 10. Give each group of 5 conference 1 bid. That's 15, and then give the highest ranking non conference team champion a bid which makes 16. Have the 1st round on campus using rankings. Have the next round where conference championship games were held and then the semi and final the way they play it now.
