MSU clock operator with the assist

Completely ridiculous...should have had every bit of 4 seconds, cheated them three times to the point where they couldn't even get shot off without buzzer in their ear....

Ya wtf
So good ole boroski messed up another?
Fgcu did miss the last shot, HOWEVER wouldn't the horn and clock going off before/during his attempt affect the player/shot in question?

Have to doubt that is a correct call

You would think hearing the buzzer as you catch the ball is going to alter your attempt.

That was ridiculous. Who appoints the clock operator? Is it someone independent like the officials or does the home team provide them?

So Greenberg/ESPN just said the big ten specifically has 'precision timing' in the final two minutes and the scorers table does not control the clock, the officials can control the start/stop (to better account for tips etc)

Also said since it was a 'definitive error', it could be reviewed and obviously replayed
(per former ref contacting studio)

However the refs apparently incorrectly told fgcu that since he missed the shot they cannot review, only if it was made.
Which would not make much sense either.

Also, for something dramatic or a game changing call(s) like that,
Maybe they could have some call in to a national office of sorts (similar to MLB)?
Or with so many D1 schools/games, at least regional or conference off site officials could confirm to avoid those egregious errors

Yea that was crap. They said if the shot was made it would have counted, Yea right...

Probably Boroski with the control sucking up to Izzo.

I remember back in '86 or '87, MSU lost to Kansas in the NCAA when the game played on for roughly 25 seconds while the clock was stopped, allowing the Jayhawks to catch up. So maybe....maybe this is a make up for that. :|

Thirty years is an awfully long time to wait for karma to catch up!

I remember that game in '86, coached by Jud Heathcote. Scott Skiles was a guard on that team. Kansas went on to win that Regional, getting to the Final Four but losing to runner-up Duke.

I thought Jud was going to have a coronary at the scorer's table.

Verne Lundquist was announcing the game....before the Keaton Moore days.

I'm glad someone posted this. I couldn't believe my eyes. 1 second run off on the foul on MSU which was way to much and that was the first of 3 milking the clock plays. the refs even reviewed the 2nd and agreed???? The 3rd play should have had more time and if the buzzer didn't go off, who knows maybe they get a put back. The refs were as much at fault as the clock keeper in my mind.
