...according to Lunardi and Palm. Not even among the first four out according to Palm. That is an accomplishment for the once #3-ramked team.
They should be out...they have not won a meaningful game since November, and if they were to play either of those two teams again right now, they would be run off the floor....according to Lunardi and Palm. Not even among the first four out according to Palm. That is an accomplishment for the once #3-ramked team.

Palm has them definitely out. Lunardi seems to have changed his bracket since I posted. It does appear that he has them as part of a 12-seed play-in game. However, is it not true that most play-ins from major conferences are 11s? Iirc that is the normal placement.I don't know what you're seeing but the latest from Lunardi has them as one of the last 4 in I think:

I am still baffled when I hear announcers say that 19 wins will get msu in the tourney. But Northwestern has 18 wins and they are on the bubble. Joe L seems to agree with this as he has them in as a 10.

sort of like the idea, butJoey Brackets has updated today.....Indiana last four in (play-in as #12)...Michigan next four out.
Other conference picks:
Wisconsin (3)
Purdue (5)
Mary (6)
Northwestern (8)
Minny (9)
MSU (10)
I do think the conference probably gets seven if there are no "stolen" bids.
By the way, I'm probably in the minority, but I don't mind Bilas' idea that the Committee finalize the at-large field prior to Championship Week.....meaning those conference tournaments are just about automatic bids. Won't happen, but it's an interesting one.
sort of like the idea, but
what happens if upsets happen and non-ncaa teams win power 5 conf tourneys?
do they just bump the lowest previous at large seed(s)?
Purdue to this point has seemingly earned better than a 5, and especially so if Wisconsin is a 3, as there is no way that a 2 seed difference could be justified.Joey Brackets has updated today.....Indiana last four in (play-in as #12)...Michigan next four out.

Purdue has better wins...worse losses (although barely in that UW should have lost to Rutgers and Nebraska...and, they just aren't playing well...they have some obstacles still along the way, especially if they continue to play as they have)...and should have the better resume it would seem...only thing UW has is the conference lead (due to schedule) and a higher ranking (which is irrelevant).
