Lot's of excitement over on the IU FB board about bowl games...I think it's wishful thinking, but is this another year IU beats Purdue to get to a bowl game? I don't think IU will have more than one more win coming into Purdue, but you never know.

If they really only get one more win that would put them at 5 wins total including Purdue, so no bowl.

That said, looks like they could win 2-3 more (Rutgers, Maryland, Northwestern) and then Purdue to get bowl eligible.

Among NW and MD they should win at least one. Given Rutgers, they need the Purdue game. I think that they will seek to pile it on. No mercy will be shown. (And I do not blame them one bit.)

I can't see them beating either Maryland or NW. Both are improving greatly as the season progresses. I think they'll be at five wins total and sitting home.

I'm not convinced that our D can stop them....or that their D can stop us.

Should be a good game.

If IU wins the Bucket again,Kevin Wilson should send Burke a thank you letter for hiring DH.And I think the Hoosiers will have at least two more wins between now and Bucket week.Northwestern,Maryland and Rutgers are all beatable.

Start game planning for the bucket game today. Rest up Replogle, Bentley, Jones, and anyone else in the 2 deeps who is dinged up. If nothing else is salvaged this year, return the trophies to WL.

If you don't think the IU D can stop your offense then you haven't been paying attention. This is not the IU defense of old. Conversely, your D will likely have a better than normal day against the IU offense.

FYI - Word is that there will be Bowl game openings for as many as six 5-7 schools this year (like last season when NEB and MINN were 5-7, and went and won their bowls)

Hell, Purdue could be in a bowl game if we win one and then pound the Hoosiers!

Maryland is not improving as the season progresses, but getting worse. They started well, but the last few weeks have been unimpressive. Probably a toss-up game at Bloomington.

There's a fair amount of truth to this.
