Is there no answer at all defensively for that free throw extended jumper?
Are we just going to give them that the whole game?

Just keep it up for 20 more mins to avoid being the only team that will ever lose to 16 seeds in back to back years. They do that and I’d bet everything I own it will never happen againBetter than last year I guess. Not real comforting.
Well he keeps bringing the ball down for some reason.he also had 2 or 3 of his shots blocked
give Furst a couple of minutes to spell Zack, TKR is a bit stiffJitters shouldn’t affect the D. Drop hurting Purdue. Lot of fatigue on Zach since they don’t call a foul early
They are drivers and shot makers mostly. D needs adjustment. Not sure if Trey can sag enough so Zach can move a couple feet closer to shooters. Stop penetration and hit FTs no turnoversNice drive from Fletch.....Boilers up 36-27. Welp.....more torture from the Boilers. Wow.
ZE misses two front ends, and Jones missed one......you only can have three in a half.
On the positive side, Braden Smith physically looks pretty good. I'm surprised I'm as calm as I am. Haha.
I’ve given up hope on 4 games. I just don’t want to feel beyond embarrassed for another Calendar year. This time it would be 100x worseBoilers inspiring zero confidence in their ability to win 4 games…or maybe even one.
it's quickness, they have more of itPositives:
The whole team doesn’t seem scared
We’ve hit some threes
Their best big has three fouls
Negatives:
Free throws
Defense
Jones
Gillis
Their guard play looks superior as always
Fouled two or three times per possessionJitters shouldn’t affect the D. Drop hurting Purdue. Lot of fatigue on Zach since they don’t call a foul early
We do seem to do better against more traditional teamshonestly I have a small small sliver of hope that once we get past this game. We will be playing a team that will simply prepare for Zach and not sell out with this “nothing to lose” mentality, and when they play their normal game, our normal game is superior. But it’s a sliver at this point

I think the answer is, “Yes,” to both of those questions from the Purdue perspective. Is there no answer at all defensively for that free throw extended jumper?

Gillis man, I can’t believe it. It’s like he wants to puke mid stroke. I’d sag off anyone but Braden and Loyer at this pointThe moment is too big for Mason (again), TKR, and Lance
I want to see more Colvin, has quickness and hops to counter their quicknessThey are drivers and shot makers mostly. D needs adjustment. Not sure if Trey can sag enough so Zach can move a couple feet closer to shooters. Stop penetration and hit FTs no turnovers
He is one of my favorite all time boilers but he seems to prefer to be a observer to this game.Gillis man, I can’t believe it. It’s like he wants to puke mid stroke. I’d sag off anyone but Braden and Loyer at this point
If a team thinks if they play to their own ceiling they have a good chance, that’s good for us. These teams hack us, swarm Edey, and do completely crazy things that throw us off. Should we overcome it? Yes. But teams don’t do this in non con. They try to play their gameWe do seem to do better against more traditional teams
Colvin has been playing better D. Play himColvin hasn't been making shots so what do you do
Fouled two or three times per possession
The grambling guys might as well lay on top of Edey. The refs aren’t calling it.Fouled two or three times per possession
It's almost like he gets shell shocked in this environment. He's tough as nails until this tournament. I hope he wakes up and gets it going. He is one of my favorite all time boilers but he seems to prefer to be a observer to this game.
he took one shot and it looked fineColvin hasn't been making shots so what do you do
Lance and Mason contribute this half should be enough. Where is Lance on the D?Positives:

Indy is close enough to home I was hoping we’d get “I can hit 9 threes in a game” Gillis. Not “black hole on offense tournament” gillisIt's almost like he gets shell shocked in this environment. He's tough as nails until this tournament. I hope he wakes up and gets it going.
Everybody wants to get theirs in the tourney. Every time zach is in and they don't give him the ball at least once is just ridiculous.Dozier is killing them on drives.....not sure what's up with Lance Jones - off on both ends of the floor so far, IMO. Boilers need him to get going.
Lance is no where at all. Airballed a three, is not under control driving, and mediocre on defenseLance and Mason contribute this half should be enough. Where is Lance on the D?
Yes. That's been Painter's strategy seemingly for years now.Is there no answer at all defensively for that free throw extended jumper?

Force baseline but then you risk fouls on Zach. Might see that deeper into the half if Zach had no foul troubleIs there no answer at all defensively for that free throw extended jumper?
