If there’s anything worse than this loss, it’s reading the idiocy here afterward.
Painter is a great coach, recruiting better now than ever before. We lost a game that we shouldn’t have lost, primarily because players didn’t perform (yes, I know he recruited them and coaches them). However, to think we’re going to be better off firing him and starting over is ridiculous. Our friends to the south have every advantage there is and have had half a dozen coaches over the past 20 years. How’s that working out?
Losing sucks, but at the end of the day, 29 wins was a pretty good year - certainly not the ending any of us wanted, but nights like tonight are unfortunately what this team was capable of.
