Dude. I’ve been a Purdue fan since 1977. I’ve seen plenty of Purdue BIg Ten championships. Big deal. I want to see Purdue win it all. Pisses me off everytime when they have the players to and they lose to a jive team.

I never expected them to make the elite 8. But c’mon, they were dominated by a 16 seed who didn’t even win their conference tournament. I’ll never understand how “the Painter walks on water” crowd can be ok with this. Allowing sub par teams to dictate the game is now a trend. Like it or not, March is what matters. Painter needs to be better.
The whole season matters. And he does need to make adjustments, mostly with regards to getting NIL money to buy a couple of impact dudes out of the portal.
You’re right, but lack of NIL money has nothing to do with getting dominated by 13, 15, and 16 seeds.
Of course. What does Nijel Pack have to do with anything? I do know that Nijel Pack and Miami are in the Elite 8 and Purdue ain't.

Have no idea. Painter couldn’t beat Saint Peter’s with a lottery pick.
We were a 3 seed, beat Texas and made the sweet sixteen last year. Went as far as we should have with that squad. Ivey had a bad shooting night, it happens.

Dude. Purdue has 2 Indiana Mr. Baseketball players on the team. 3 Indiana Mr. Basketball finalists. 2 of them runner ups. And 1 Pennsylvania Mr. Basketball. Plus a skilled 7'4" giant. Yes, having Pack on the team would have been nice, but that is more than enough to get past a jive 16 seed team.

Just a coulda/woulda hypothesis but if we ran our offense through Ivey, it might’ve yielded a different result.
The last minute or so (IIRC) Ivey hit a couple crazy shots when it was a “all or nothing” chuck ‘em free for all during the last minute or so. My question after seeing that was “why weren’t we doing this earlier?!”
Again… comes down to coaching. Painter has proven time and time again that his teams can only play one style of basketball (motion offense through the post (2019 being the exception) and man to man with unnecessary double teaming in the post.
You don’t need NIL money to beat 13, 15, and 16 seeds. You don’t need NIL money to change an offense that ain’t working. When the 3’s ain’t droppin’, why are you still shooting them. Purdue guards and forward could have driven 10 to 12 feet closer before the defender got to them and shoot a higher percent shot. Painter could have changed the offense to do just that. Coach the players during timeouts to do just that. Painter could have altered the offense to allow more drives to the basket. Anything, man.
Playing a lineup similar to below, being willing to switch during screens and playing zone for a couple possessions to prevent back to back to back layups could’ve helped too:
Jenkins 6’1
Newman 6’5
Morton 6’7
Gillis 6’7 or Renn/Furst
Edey 7’4 or Furst/Renn
When you have 2 starting freshman guards, upsets happen. The Purdue NIL team didn’t go get anyone better in the portal last year.
So you just want a coach who doesn’t lose to double digit seeds in the tournament?
What does Painter have on you? Always excuses. Painter is a really bad tournament coach. Doesn’t make him a bad person, but he sucks in March.
I just hate that we have 2 freshman guards every year! This whole get old and stay old strategy isn’t working.
I want a coach that can get Purdue to the FF or NC. I want a coach that when something is not working, be willing to change and try something different. Purdue is improving in the NIL arena from what I’m seeing.
And who is this coach that can get us to a Final Four without having an NIL collective to go get top talent ?
I’m not sure intent behind your spamming the same question over and over again, but let me ask this:
1) did Loyola know they were going to go to a final four that year with their coach?
2) did VCU?
3) did butler with Brad Stevens? (Multiple times)
4) did FDU this year think they will make it this far?
5) did Miami?
…I could go on
Unlike you, I have facts that back up my position. Again, I’ll ask. What does Painter have on you? Why are you so hell bent on dying on this hill?
