Why CMP coaching this team, let's get Cuonzo? Love Zo but was he the answer? California chance to get signature win loses at home to Virginia for third loss last night. Sure he's making them a better team and recruits well but..... Third year there, they also lose in first round last March. Nothing earth shattering so far from this years team.

I'll take my chances with Painter right now.

I totally agree, Painter is doing a fine job and I'm glad he is our coach!!

While I appreciate your intent OP, not sure any good will come from stirring the pot.

That said, CMP isn't going anywhere and is a great coach. He's improving things at an eye opening rate and I am estatic that he is our coach

I do think Painter is growing as a coach and I like what I see. I like how he has let Carsen play and not pulling him after every little mistake he might make.
The adjustments he made against Notre Dame were also nice to see. He has also been very active switching players for offense and defense. A few weeks ago he inserted Carsen back into the game for a last second shot before halftime and it paid off as Carsen nailed the 3 pointer at the buzzer! I don't always agree with everything he does, but those incidents seem to be farther and fewer between lately. Another thing I keep going back to is this: Just looking at the Big Ten coaches, is there any coach from the Big Ten that you would rather have? I can honestly say, "No, I am glad we have Painter". The best overall coach in the Big Ten, that should end the argument right there!
