All penalties are not created equally. What's the yardage? Or, if there's a way to measure it, the timing of them? One penalty that hasn't even been talked about was an illegal man downfield penalty (against Edwards I believe) that wiped out a 1st down in the Northwestern game. I think it was early 4th quarter. And I'm pretty sure that it wasn't a case of the QB buying time before throwing the pass which often results in that penalty. It was somewhat of a quick hitter over the middle. Either to Sparks or Zico.
