CPAC Hungary

I feel sorry for you. I really do. The Republican Party in general has completely lost any sense of sanity or national unity. Great article below I agree with 100%. And I used to vote Republican. YOUR party wants NOTHING good for the country if it is seen as a win for the other side. YOUR party wants this country to look like Gilead from the book The Handmaids Tale. YOUR party can't rid itself of Donald Trump and find a f'ing decent human being who can try to represent everyone in this country.

What utter bullshit

No...no.....not beside the point. They have elections in North Korea too.........and call themselves the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

I'll watch as you hyper focus on that point.........and ignore Orban's policies and whether you want our country to become like Hungary. There's clearly a sector of your party that approves of those kinds of policies.
Ah, so you have proof that their elections are not legit?

Unfortunately in this country there is no middle ground. People have dug their heels in and are either one party or the other no exceptions. When I was young, voting for Democrats was easy for me. As time passed splitting the ticket seemed like the right way to go. Today, I totally can’t stand where the Democratic Party has gone to. I loath their policies and ideas on most all of them. I’m not to enamored with the Republicans either, except they are the lesser of two evils.

I just don’t know where the country should be. Just wish the political discourse could come together a bit. It would be nice if either side could and would do things that would help people instead of helping these power grabbing political leaders.

I'm not sure how this demonstrates anything but a clear embrace of authoritarianism by the trump republicans.........unless people think Orban is their kind of leader.

According to this Pew Research study, Hungary scores very close to the USA, including fair elections.

Can you be more specific?

The chart shows the "% of people who say it's very important that ... honest elections are held regularly with at least two parties."

It doesn't say anything about the fairness or lack of fairness in elections in those countries, but rather how much of the population believes that there SHOULD be fair elections.

This survey says nothing of whether or not countries run fair elections.
Although from a source that has repeatedly proven itself to be untrustworthy, this article claims that Orban operates much like the dems in the 2020 campaign, with suspicious campaign law changes and control of the media. Could that be where Orban got his election ideas from?

Maybe the dems should hold their LPAC or whatever it is called in Hungary.
