BTT: Illinois v. Purdue Game Thread

Who's this halftime guy who's talking up WVU?

The same WVU that lost to Florida by 17?
Seth Greenberg

They ask him what he thinks of PU's chances and all he can talk about is WV.

Now, with that said, WV is the team that I fear being matched up with in the tournament. So when he said that, I'm thinking you have to be kidding me!

Seth Greenberg......yeah.....he's begging for the committee to put them in the same bracket with Purdue. J Williams likes the Boilers as a potential giant. Basically, like many have said, if the guards elevate their play.....can beat anybody.

Biggie's rebounding makes a difference.

yep. I just tell them he couldn't do squat with the cream of the crop money bought in the Pros how is he going to do any better when he has to recruit
It looks like the Ill. are gassed, but I'm always leery when we have a big lead, first 5 min. of the second half will be big.

That I think is the first time and last time anybody will ever use the phrase "cream of the crop money bought" in reference to Rex Grossman. :)

That's makes 4 consecutive halves of Purdue shooting better than 60% from the field (per @BoilerBall). You have to like that kind of offensive execution!

Great sequence for Caleb! Beautiful inside move for two followed by popping a three from the corner!

OK, I know I'm an engineer and all, but looking at the slope of the "Game flow" chart on the ESPN site is just making me giggle.

officials trying their best to get Illinois back in. they are leaning into Purdue players after shooting getting crap calls

We can only hope that the team plays at this level until the end of July. (Yes I know the tourney ends in April but I just want to make sure!)

I think we are seeing the improvements of Swanigan on both offense and defense and its impact on this team. In Illinois game one he could not cover the forwards on the perimeter and was a turnover machine on offense. Have not seen those problems lately and the whole team is better for it.

Get my man in the game...J. Taylor....unleash the energizer bunny Boiler Up!

Dammit. Not going to set the record for largest victory (Set by Illinois 2 days ago at 32 points)
