Box Score

Yeah, I didn't realize that. I also didn't realize that Mathias had 8 rebounds and Albrecht had 5!

Also looking at the stats confirms how poor the D was at the end. We let the Lions shoot over 50 percent in 2nd half. 46 points in the paint for the game. Wow.

Also, perimeter shooting forward Payton Banks (averaging 11 PPG going into this game) did not score (0-6 on FG's, 0-5 3PT's) and reserve combo guard (usually the backup 1) Terrence Samuel did not play for some reason. Backup guard Nazeer Bostick injured his right wrist sometime in the past few days (out for at least 2 weeks), so I guess the Boilers did have some good luck (or benefitted from PSU's bad luck), even though it didn't seem like they had much throughout the game.

P.S.: VE had 2 blocked-shots. I'm guessing that's his single game career-high.

I didn't get to tune into the game until OT. Why didn't Vince play in OT? His stats looked pretty good to me. Was it a defensive mismatch that led to him sitting or what?

I think he played for a minute or so. For whatever his reasons were, Painter just wanted it to be Thompson, Mathias, Cline, Swanigan, and Haas on the floor. Painter might have thought that Stevens was scoring on VE too easily? If that's the case, he could say that about several players in this game.
