Jalen is up to around 20 minutes a game, guessing he's averaging around 13 and 8 this year, his minutes early on were extremely limited. He needs to bulk up a little, however, he'd be a great get. I expect a 20 and 10 player next year if he's healthy.

Jalen is becoming the player most predicted ever since he was a Frosh, missing nearly 2 years set him back but he's nearly back to 100% health. He's still a bit raw but the potential is off the charts, West Side plays Carmel next weekend in the 4A Semi-State, should be a good game. Washington reminds me at this point of Jujuan Johnson, next year he'll be a beast at West Side.

He's not in Big Dog's territory yet lol. Missing 2 years might be the reason why, Jalen as the year went on improved immensely, early on one could tell he was timid, can't say I blame him. Next year will be interesting, I see him easily as a 20 and 10 guy.

Were you at the games yesterday? I went to all the games and Washington seems to be getting better every week. I was at West Side and saw him last week. Also very impressed with Blake Wesley. He is better that I thought.
Still recovering from an ACL and getting his explosiveness back.
Didn't go yesterday, have saw Washington twice this year, has without a doubt got better. Hearing he's close to a Purdue lock that there is.
Yes, when healthy he in my opinion is better athletically than he is as a shooter. His shot is a little mechanical, no where near to Big Dogs shot at this stage. Guessing he's preseason 20-25 range next year, maybe a little higher.
Camden fits right in as a state champ.

What does this mean for Heide? Same state, and position. A while back Heide's top three schools were Arizona, Minnesota, and Purdue. Two of those schools lost their head coaches and Purdue lost their lead recruiter from his point of view. Haven't heard much about him lately. Are we still in the running?

Saw that offer as well and don’t see it hurting making another offer to a similar position. They are about the same size and ranking.
Watson might be taller and more of a shot blocker.
Think it means that having lost the coaches at AZ and Minny, Heide no longer has two birds in the bush and if he doesn't grab the one that's in hand it may fly away without him.
Yeah, CMP used the same tactic with Carsen, when he point-blank told them that they only have so much room on the roster for that position, and the first to accept would be onboard. I imagine that this was as much as an effort to recruit Heide as it was for the new kid.
And that is a big reason I don't pay for GBI membership anymore.
At one point we were good with had Max Christie and Chet Holmgren, then as usual they just disappear. So then everyone that you get is somewhat of a disappointment.
With the advent of twitter there is a tendency for them to be late to the party on a lot of news.
Max Christie was an interesting one because based on his comments on Purdue certainly made it seem like he was leaning in our direction. I had that usual feeling when MSU got involved.
This is the Pegram Effect. When Peegs was the place for Loosiers to be every 5 star kid they recruited was a lock and every new coach hired was an occasion to start making new banners. We know how that turned out.

Josh looks like a more athletic Linc Darner. Good shooter with some hops like Heide. Wake Forest offered right before us and Arkansas was inquiring recently.

Hopefully we can snag a couple top 100 athletes for ‘22. Our last 2 commits are Waddell and loyer which is fine but we need some athletic guards that will be able to break down teams in tournament. Definitely disappointed that Jameel is no longer committed.
Hopefully one of the two schollies is taken by Jalen Washington. Since Trevion will likely be gone after next year, I'd say Painter will want to land another big. Assuming we lose only Trevion + EHJ + SS, do we have room for another guard? I guess a lot will depend on Ivey's future.
A PG who creates and facilitates. Painter is always looking for that one.

Do we still have any chance with Paul McMillian out of Cincinnati? I know we were on him prior to Brown commiting, and had very high statements, from him and his dad, about Purdue. Looks like a solid PG recruit.
